- June was enrolled in my foundation drawing class back in the day. June recently contacted me about doing another sketchbook video. Of course I had to say yes because June has talent coming out of her ears. Her characters are totally amazing. If you are looking for help to improve your artwork visit, members.drawin...
I would love for you to do a "where are they now" kind of video for the wonderful folks you have kept in touch with and taught art to. Do you already have that?
I love how excited and happy Matt is looking at this sketchbook, a sure sign of a great teacher.
Wow, her characters are really cool, it almost looks like she cranks them out with no effort. Really good stuff.
I am so happy to see another sketchbook from June! her first sketchbook video is one of my favorites to this day!
Her book reminds me of that dream journal in shark boy and lava girl
i love EVERY EVERY sketchbook ... ist fantastic to see all the different styles ... so great. Thank's for sharing!
These videos motivate/inspire so much. Thanks June and Matt!
watched this for the second time, even more WOW! !
Your sketches look awesome June! I love your characters! Especially the Niel character.
It was really nice. I am learning how to draw on my own and this video really motivated me to go on practicing. That girl really has talent.
I felt the texture of June's sketchbook
she improved so much!!!
I would die to have you as a teacher. These sketchbooks are outstanding!!!!
i love looking at the sketchbook videos, gives me inspiration to draw again!
Nuts, a little late. I just posted June's deviant at my site.
Drawing Tutorials Online dot com click on Free Drawing Tip click on June's Sketchbook.
Man im a art student in scotland and you dont get to see oter peoples work and seeing this reminds me why puts your drawing confidence down !! but makes you want to get all that much better
Love when you share your student's sketchbooks. My only complaint is they're too far between. June's is fab. Great expressions. The Red Baron is fantastic! Snoopy will be jealous....lol
WOW ! So great ... I just bought a new sketch book today and this video is so inspiring ! Thanks
Thank you for those lessons Matt! As a 15 year old student living on my parent's supprt, i really appreciate them.
I'm the same way. I've always been very good at drawing portraits from photos but i needed that photo. I used to be a huge anime fan but my work never satisfied me. They looked like a 3 year old drew them. I didn't realize that I was holding myself back by trying to draw the same thing all the time. Try doing lots of gesture and experiment with styles. Scribble and look for images in them. My drawing is becoming much more loose. Just don't be a perfectionist and practice every day. It works.
this is really great and unique! i loved it
These are amazing. She should consider self publishing these (as long as I'm first in line).
amazing! i totally loved it!
AWESOME FAVORITE ONE EVER
awesome sketchbook, love when you post videos so much :)

My neck is killing me...
Awesome stuff.
wow we have very similar styles ur work is awesome june!!!
really beautiful sketchbook, so inspiring! love it!
This is kinda what my sister used to draw when she was in High School. Now she draws rainbows and other hippy like things
I love the arabic tag on the second notebook saying hello above your name ;p
I like the punk-ish style of her drawings.
This is how I want to be!
Really cool style!
@Roxandria True Im guessin illustration is more about doing big detailed pieces, whereas cartooning is more about telling a story (although im sure the art is ver detailed aswell)...
wow, I'm inspired.
I really enjoyed this :)
2nd sketchbook was the best:)

I totaly LOVE watching all these sketchbooks and all, they're totaly awesome and inspiring, BUT I HATE when you promise us a tumblr or deviant and i can't find it ANYWHERE!
plz siriously help /big fan
Honestly, want to know the only thing that would help? Draw. I know that's probably not what you want to hear but personally I felt the same as you only 2 years or so back, and I find now the more you practice the more fundamentals you pick up to apply to your own drawings from out of your head. You may feel like your copying but when you do, you're learning the line style, curves, shading, ext. So just draw what you find fun to draw and you'll eventually develop a style all your own.
i need to learn how to draw that style. it's always used in my favorite books. ._.
Ok, look. I know MANY people say this but. Practice. I've never been in an art class, and I can see my work vastly improving. I wouldn't say I'm good, but I'm still way better than I was 3 years ago.

shes great
I want this teacher when i go back to college
i think your advantage would be draw in some artists' styles. First thing, grab your favorite pictures, draw them until catch the radical logic. Then, next day keep your mind clear, use what you've learnt. PS, you must have an idea in your mind, dash it off confidently. If your process is slower than it should be, then the image in your head will be moving, unclear or probably disappear.
You're done that, your experience is built up.One day, you will realize what your own unique style should be
I am leaving for college in about two years. I'm dying to move to New York to take your class.
10:27 Norman fan art! neat ♥
Very nice!
Oh I love this video.. The drawings are amazing..!! Can somebody tell me what materials did she use..?? Thank you:)
i love the norman and niel pages.they are sooo orginal
Ya I agree

Its like that for me too...
Same hat!
Niiiice!!
Wow. o.O
And I'm always years late...
Amazing job ❤️
Awesome sketches and I love that she sticks things onto the paper. I think I saw a condom wrapper stuck on there though which is weird. Cool though!
hab ich auch gleich gedacht :D
Love these style of these drawings :) You mention in your video description above about your foundation drawing class - I do visit your site from time to time...is that class still available from your site? I am in all honesty useless at figure drawing and things like that (been WAY too many years since I did art in college) but I doodle alot and cartoon style things seem to prevail. If there's a class I can do to get back into things and maybe regain some of the fun I'd love to sign up.
did you draw your icon? If you did it is amazing
This is my favorite one
How would I go about learning to draw like this? I can draw really well if I'm copying something, but never from my head. Whenever I draw from my head, everything looks very stiff and unmoving. I don't know what I should do. The art classes at my school aren't the kind of thing I would be interested in and I live in a small town without many community classes. What do you think would help?
I'm starting to work in my sketchbook, too. My problem is that I make so many mistakes. Gah!
NICE!
And if you go on the site they have plenty of videos (I think thats how the artists in these videos learned?) But you need to buy a subscription :P
Wow
June's like: imma skip dis shit!
thanks!!
there in New York, Mahaten im pretty sure
Can you ask her how she decorated her second sketchbook?
Nice job ;)
You should do a lot of figure drawing, especially studying a model- if u don't have opportunity to take classes just ask your friends or family to pose for you. If you're learning on your own it's important to have plan and to know what you're doing- so just check out some books, I can recommend you Andrew Loomis and his "Figure Drawing for All It's Worth" to start- that one really got me into drawing. Also check out some anatomy for artists, there are plenty useful books online. Good luck!:]
I like those Obama Romney pictures :D
great
Do whatCee Woo said and if you want to get better faster i suggest getting yourself a sketchbook and try drawing the real world, do this every time you have a temptation to draw. That way you will get more familiar with observing details, slowly start using pictures only for references like if you have a pic of a tiger sitting observe its muscles & pivot points and how they move the legs, then try drawing the same tiger in a different pose. Eventually your brain will get used to making things up
What pens/pencils did you use for the red?
um Question!!! whats the difference between cartooning and illustration?
Another sketchbook video!
another sketch book video yea tho!
does she speak german? because on the cover of her sketchbook it says 'skizzen' which is german for sketches :D
