      Can we reduce the sugar

      @@supriyasathe7631 I wouldn’t add less sugar because one time one of my recipe used less sugar than I normally would use and the macrons came out really weird. If you undermix the batter it will leave little peaks on the shells.

      I've found it to be the most vague and convoluted description. Every video on youtube, and every chef as well, describes it as a "ribbon that can drop smoothly from the spatula in a figure 8 without breaking" which is specific, to the point, and much more helpful for beginner bakers.

    I started baking not too long ago. At first I did the easy stuff like homemade cookies , brownies , mini apple pies and stuff. But now, I think I have gotten a little bit better and I want to step up my skills. I want to make these and cream puffs , it seems difficult and Im pretty sure I'll have to restart a million times , but I'm confident that this is what I want to do in my future .

    Thank you so much for this amazing recipe!! I took a baking class about a year ago on French Macarons but that recipe always seemed to come out too thin, resulting in cracked or wrinkly macarons. I thought it might've just been my technique but I knew I was doing it correctly. So I decided to try this recipe and they came out absolutely PERFECT!!!

  • @s0fa274
    @s0fa274 7 лет назад +1

    I've been making so many batches of macarons the last two months, trying to learn how to do it correctly but also learning from my mistakes. This is the most straight-forward video on RUclips, especially the part about the folding and what the batter should look like. The recipe is really easy to follow and I've had really great success making macarons. Even when I mess up, I can easily figure out what part of the recipe I went wrong because your instructions are very clear in terms of what to do and what to expect. I've tried following other RUclips recipes and either they are too vague or there's too much "talking" and not enough instruction. Just want to say thank you for posting these videos, they are extremely helpful!!

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  8 лет назад +7

      Does your oven have a fan? Was it really well preheated? There are a few reasons it may have happened. One could be that the meringue was too soft, or maybe they have't been rested enough and allowed to fully dry on top or the oven temperature may have been too low or the batter could have been over mixed and was too thin. I hope this helps :-) The most important parts of the video are the points that explain when to stop mixing the meringue and when to stop mixing the batter...maybe watch it again a couple of times. I suspect your oven may have not been heated to the right temperature. I hope this help :-)

    hi !
    do you use a oven with fan?

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  8 лет назад +1

      Yes, I set the dial to 130 deg Celsius because of the fan. The oven will then heat to 150 deg Celsius with the fan :-)

    Omg this is so stressful! I am making Macarons for Christmas and I was piping Santa hat macarons, o preheated my oven and it heated up fast, or so I thought. I put my Macarons in and after 20 mins I check it and they are LIQUID with a shell. And only after I take out the tray from the oven do I realise that is was at 120 DEGRESS. ONE HUNDRED AND TWENTY. ;-; story of my life.

    How many macarons did you make out of this recipe?

    • @CupcakeSavvysKitchen
      @CupcakeSavvysKitchen  8 лет назад +2

      It will make around 60 - 70 shells depending on size so you will get around 30-35 filled macarons :-)
