The sound is so good and unmistakable. I still have my 2004, been having a blast with it for the past 11 years. Your bike condition is so mint, looking awesome!
Cheers Herbert. They're fun bikes indeed! To be honest, speaking from my own perspective, it has more power than I actually need for the road, so I've never actually experienced its full potential, yet. Thanks for your comment 🙂, ride safe.🍻
I bought mine new in 2005 in lime green. I also bought a full Akropovic 4 into 1 system but had to take it off 10 years later when I moved to Spain as it wouldn't pass the ITV inspection for matriculation onto Spanish plates. So it has the original system back on it now, as it needs a yearly emissions plus noise test and running without the cats in the silencers it wont pass. It is actually smoother with the original system on it though, I also added a steering damper and front and rear cameras. Love riding in Spain though as it beats the UK hands down. The roads are superb and the weathers great. Plus most people here actually like motorcycles.
V Ride Safe !!!
My friend I have same bike You have it in prefect condition well done 👏🏼 This is how I like to keep my bike as well But the way what to do use to make those Rims so shine ✨ and where did you find the Z1000 part in the cooling system?
Hi there, thanks a lot! I use Autosol Metal Polish for the rims. It is a great product which I have been using since forever. With regards to the radiator guard (featuring Z1000), I honestly don't know from where it was bought since I bought the bike with it already installed. Cheers. :)
@@oldschoolgrech I think yours sounds good without the DB killers in them, have you checked the synchronization of your TB's ? Your idle sounds like mine was before I resynchronized them at the end of this fall.
@@IrnMaiden304 I didn't to be honest. True, it sounds a bit rough at times, probably it may need to be set for such exhausts possibly. I've heard other Zs too though, and they all work quite rough it seems. They hadn't got the original exhausts installed though, so I'll be paying attention when I see a Z still with its original exhausts, hmmm. (My dad went to dyno tune his XJR when he installed his 4-in-1 Devil exhaust, although he decided to keep it as it was finally since he thought of maybe reinstalling the old original ones, but never actually did, hah. It is just a bit more rich in fuel in his case).
I still have my 06 that i bought brand new in 06 : ). The stock exhaust looks nice but it was super heavy and too quiet for me so i swapped them for some TBR slip ons.
Hi! Cheers ☺️ & thank you. To be honest I tried to find out its type or brand, however I didn't manage to. It doesn't have any markings on it and when I spent some time on the internet searching for different belly pans (to find some info. on it), I didn't manage to find one exactly like it. Maybe it was made by an enthusiast, possibly. It was already installed when I bought the bike. Still, I will try to do further reaearch about it maybe I'll get to know who made it or from where it was bought. Thanks, and have a nice day. 🙂
I crashed mine a month ago lady cut me off, black with the red seat, sequential tail light, hindle 4-1 race exhaust with power commander 3 usb and dyno tune, it was an absolute ripper i miss it sounded so good with this hindle exhaust
I had the same bike as well back in 2010 I was hit by a woman while stopped at a traffic light. I was stuck under her car! But miraculously the bike survived, just the rt side exhaust needed to be replaced
Hi there mate, I found it on marketplace (Facebook), hence not from a shop, but from an individual who wanted to sell them. 🙂 Fortunately the seller was from my country, Malta, as well.
Hi again my friend I want it to ask you what colour exactly is your bike I want to paint my bike exactly the same Make it look as new as possible I’m just in love the way and the condition you have it 😍
Cheers man. 🙂 I did a rough search since I didn't know what it is called exactly or maybe find the colour code. It is simply referred to as Metallic Black, however it I think it is more like super dark grey actually. Unfortunately I can't find the exact colour name and the code! I've just realised it may be a problem in case I may need to repaint some parts. Maybe going to a Kawasaki dealer and asking about the exact colour name and code would do, hopefully.
Hi Dav, I haven't. I kept these Akra installed, at least till now. I do love their look. The previous owner has also contacted me and gave me the filters of these, so I may install them for a slightly smoother sound in the future. Cheers.
you might wanna quit revving it....your neighbor in the back is calling the back is calling the cops on you...she daid you do this nite and day and shes sick of it!...shes offering to give you 1 of her many recordings of it...

Great review of a beautiful bike. I am looking for one of these to go with my Kawasaki ZRX 1100
Cheers, thank you for your comment.🙂

Beautifull! May i ask what brand the belly pan is?
Cheers, thanks. I don't know actually since it was already installed when I bought it, and it isn't marked with any label of some sort.
Things basically still new ( your bike ), I've got dual Yoshi TRS cans on mine and love the sound.
I've just taken a look at yours, they look lovely on her. Cheers.

Great, so it is in a 4-in-2 exhaust format too then. 🙂👍🏻

Yeah this one looks very nice and clean indeed! I have found several with way too many curves/edges, but this one is perfect!

I hope you did not put the original exhausts on. They're so,so heavy!!! And those Akroprovic sound so much better. Just hold onto them for resale.
