Technoblade meant a lot to a lot of people, myself included. I wanted to make something special to commemorate him.
Most of the time, it only takes me a day or so to write lyrics, but this song took me weeks. I was searching for the right words, wanting to make sure it was as perfect as it could be for Techno. It took me a while to figure out what I wanted to say. Techno was, and still is, one of my favorite RUclipsrs. I started watching his content in 2020. I remember being so excited for online class to end so that I could catch a Techno stream. Late at night or during my lunch break at school, I would binge his videos, SMP Earth, Minecraft Mondays, bedwars, skywars, you name it. The character he made for the Dream SMP was also one of my favorites.
If you've watched my other videos, you might have seen that I've written quite a few Dream SMP songs. Techno was one of the first and only big content creators to ever comment on one of my songs. Discovering that he listened to my song and liked it was an incredible feeling. It made my entire year!
During a really dark time in many people's lives, Techno's content brought so much joy. I made so many friends through Technoblade, online and in real life. I remember my junior year I didn't have many friends at school. Then one day I found out someone in my AP class loved to watch Techno and we became friends through that. When we were waiting to take the AP test at the end of the year, the two of us were doodling pictures of his character on our scratch paper. Most people probably don't know this but for Halloween, I dressed up as said character. Some other friends that I had introduced to Techno's content did a group costume with me. There are countless other stories I could share, but I'll keep those close to my chest for now.
When I found out Techno had passed away, it hit really hard. I really hope this song can do him justice.
This video/song is a fundraiser for the Sarcoma Foundation of America, which is the charity Techno's family is supporting on his merch site. I will not be monetizing this song or uploading it to any other streaming platforms because I want this upload of the song to get the most attention, so people can see the fundraiser and donate.
Thank you so much, Techno, for being a light to so many in a dark time. Thank you for the laughter and joy you gave me and countless others. I will always treasure the memories and the friends I made along the way.

Every time I hear this song it reminds me of a quote: " every man dies twice, once when he ceases life functions and the second time is the last time his name is ever spoken, and it's sad that sometimes it's not in that order" so truly, technoblade will never die
Before: I am very excited to see this. Techno was and will remain the greatest player in Minecraft history. It is up to us to keep his memory going so that Technoblade will never die.

I hadn't heard about Techno until after he died. It's an odd feeling, to suddenly find a youtuber you really enjoy watching, but knowing that they're dead and gone now, and you're watching what they've left behind. That there won't ever be new content to look forward to. It's a solemn feeling. The world lost a good man that day.

I've watched the dsmp for a good while, but it was only a few months ago i rly got into techno in specific. I was actually on vacation the day he passed, so i leearned a little late but it left me heartbroken especially bc im the only one of my friends who watched dsmp(bc im a christian girl and none of them like the swearing, i just dont care) so im the only one who truely understands and they dont get why im so upset over a man i never met.

I've been watching Technoblade for almost 7 years and he was always a beacon of joy and kindness. It was in the night that I got the notification of the video and instead of going to sleep and watching it later i clicked on it only to have my heart shattered. The man many of us looked up to and idolised had past on. That night I silently cried myself to sleep while hearing the words 'I am dead' over and over. But eventually as I drifted off to sleep I hear him yelling 'TECHNOBLADE nerver dies! Never doubt me again chat, Technoblade never dies!' Safe to say that those 7 years came back with the force of a fright train.
May he rest in peace.
I’m the same actually, tho I heard fan songs and animatics sometimes. I only learnt of techno blade a few days before his passing, but didn’t quite watch his videos even thought they get recommended on my page. But on the day of his passing, I started watching his video, and god do I regret not watching him earlier, may he rest in peace

There was a time when culture was kept alive by song and that is what these songs accomplish. Keeping Technoblade alive even after Alex died.

I love the way you worded it as “riding off into the night.” He’s never gonna truly die, he’s just left us for now to bring his light to even more people somewhere else.
I am sure his presence will be with us in spirit as we listen to this one.
It still feels so surreal that he's just... gone. Physically, there's a space left where he once stood and thousands upon thousands whose heart surely aches with that same unfortunate familiar space in their chests. There will be no more new videos from him. No crumbs of content or funny tweets or random bird posts. And yet, at the same time, he has immortalized himself through his actions. His voice has been recorded and uploaded, memorialized forever until the end of technology and possibly the world itself. His actions have brought hope and fearless attitudes towards cancer and our own struggles and obstacles.
Mourning is not done overnight. Nor over the course of a few weeks. That pain will be there. It will grow and dull as waves against a beach's shore. And although our chests are in pain with his absence, the legacy and presence he left behind has the possibility to fill the holes left behind. A mortal does not leave behind such a wake of realization. A god doesn't cause a shattering of a community that rebuilds itself off the pieces of their beloved lost one.
A legend, in old terms, doesn't bring the world to a slow crawl.
Techno. Alex. A man behind a screen. Someone who carved a place for himself in the world and history across generations that watched his content and followed his growth.
Raise your glasses and lift your lights, chins up and smiles of bittersweet goodbyes take the tears that flow from your eyes. Our king may be gone, but with his presence remaining, reinforce the legacy he has written for himself. Confirm his legend status and continue it for eons. Sing songs of praise and recite poems of sorrow in his stead. But remember. Always remember.

That... that really helps honestly. Thinking of Techno's death as just a necessary goodbye. He didn't die unprepared, wishing he could do more. Techno lived his life as full as he wanted to, and change so much. Even if his story's over, it has a beautifully made ending.
I think that God has a plan for everyone, and Alexander was so great that he did everything God planned for him in just 23 years of life, so, in conclusion, I guess you could say that legend literally just speedran life itself...GG...good game.

Before: After hearing the news Legends never die was actually the first non technoblade song I heard as I felt it fit him somehow. Glad to see I'm not the only one. I can't wait this is going to be amazing.
I remember watching this when it first came out and it hits harder now that it's been 2 years.
I love how together techno’s community have come from mourning to instead commemorate him as we continue to support his family, friends, each other and continue his legacy.

I still struggle with looking at Technoblade themed things, watching one of his vids i can only get halfway through until it becomes to much, i dont like when i hear my siblings or friends try to bring him up because im still in that stage of denial even though a part of me knows he isnt alive anymore. I avoided listening to this song when i first saw it but kept it in a open tabbed and finally willed myself to listen and im glad i did, it touched my heart and even though my heart ached thinking about his passing, the song also feels like a relief, the passing is hard for us all especially his friends and family, but we heal together, and knowing people are still doing things like fanfics, fanart, cosplays and so much more makes me happy that he is still living on in our hearts. Every bit of content made by Techno is a true treasure. His channel is a time capsule of nostalgia which holds many memories of laughter, anticipation, celebration, etc. It is surreal to know he is gone, knowing that nothing new will be released from him. His legend may be over but it won't fade. As long as he is remembered, his blade will never rust and be passed down to generations to come.

Technoblade has done so much for me and the entire community. The fact that he’s gone…at first I was just in shock and denial and grief. These videos really help me deal with it and comforted me. Even here, how long has it been 9-10 months? I still miss him so much. Every day even though it was impossible I just wished to hear one more “starting the streeeeam.” We love you Alex and even though you’ve passed we won’t let anyone forget you and Technoblade the channel you have grown and the community you have grown.

Gosh... At this point, I'm so tired of seeing all the comments that all say the same thing, but at some points I feel the same way. Lately, I've just been binge watching all his videos 'cause I never watched them before, and let me tell you, it's been a joy. But sometimes I get suggested a song or a video or see some fanart mourning his loss, and I just wanna cry.

I’ve been in denial for the majority of his journey fighting cancer, and thought that he would definitely recover. I had been hoping that he would suddenly just appear again, out of nowhere, like he had used to do when he disappeared for months. Now it just constantly hits me that he’s not here anymore, and never will be ever again. I just hope that we will never forget what he had done for us. Rest In Peace.
