Could you try selecting the editor executable from /usr/local/bin/cursor? If you don't have that command, you can install with the "Shell Command: Install 'cursor' command" command from the Command Palette in Cursor first.

On macos, using the custom editor option doesn't work with cursor, error is unknown app.
