Very nice....Whack-a-Mole... Ivy League addition👍 Everyone needs to start booking their dates for Summer at the Mazzy B&B...occupancy is starting to fill up...Another entertaining segment...although I have to dock you both a few points on your knowledge of the great Alvin Lee and Ten Years After....that album is one of the most underrated in their catalog...Standing at the Station is a smoker of a song...Look forward to seeing all the grails that head back to Colorado after your visit....
Shhhh by Ten Years After is a favorite of mine. My parents would play it constantly when I was growing up. It’s pretty much engrained in my head. Hope all is well! Cheers, Brian☘️
I am liking the "VC guest" W-A-M's . They pull some albums that dont get enough love. I have that Ten Years After, That Everly's, abf the First Lord Such. Very few Beatles bootlegs, and sadly no Josh White, but will keep my eyes peeled. Thanks for sharing.
Mazzy, I agree that Josh White is underappreciated. His Elektra recordings are all excellent, high quality material very well recorded. Most Josh White recordings contain folk blues & gospel elements.
Alvin Lee and Ten Years After were not to be missed back in the Holy days! Rick Lee played Drums. Leo Lyons on Bass. Self titled, Shhh and Live are my favorites Good Morning Little School Girl from Shhh and One of These Days from Live are particularly tasty!!
Screaming Lord Sutch was a protege of Joe Meek's production, Ritchie Blackmore was one of Joe's in-house guitar wiz's, an early version of a NEM's-like production operation, I'm sure you are familiar Mazzie, anyone interested in British invasion history knows something of Joe Meek and thus Lord Sutch. Great Everly's LP also, love them up to Bowling Green Capitol stuff. Just finished chemo, thanks Mazzie for keeping me entertained for the last 6 month's.
Saw Ten Years After and Jethro Tull on a double bill at the Royal Albert Hall on May 8th 1969, they also played at the Newport Jazz Festival on July 4th 1969, just before in June the famous Bath Festival and then of course Woodstock. Rick Lee was the drummer, but they were not brothers!
Hi Mazzy, Lord Such was much better known in the UK as the leader of the Monster Raving Loony Party and standing in dozens of parliamentary elections, often against prominent politicians. Sadly committed suicide a few years ago. Not a real Lord, he official changed his name the Screaming Lord Such. Andy
Mazzy, The Ten Years After album you showed is the last best studio album from them. Standing at the Station is one of the stand out tunes. Hey Mazzy, you are truly the University of music knowledge..✌️
I had stumbled across Ten Years after some time ago, just picking up one of their albums used, and I liked the first album I got by them, so I ended up continuing to get their albums. Funny, unless the cover is an alternate UK version, I don't recognize the one you were holding. Oh, sorry, you do mention the name of the album later, but it sounds like some kind of compilation. I have I think all the OG Deram albums. FWIW, it is very unusual for me to like a group from that period this comprehensively. Normally, I'll like a few songs here and there. But, I don't know, maybe being a guitar player and composer (using both terms *VERY* loosely) I just found the compositions, arrangements, and playing quite consistent album to album where I pretty much like most of their stuff. To me, most groups at that time were wildly erratic, but these guys seem quite impressively consistent! Oh, and the next time you CLAIM that there is a Real Live Girl in your house, I wanna see PROOF!!! 😁
Sutch was a UK eccentric, not famous for his music, but election capers as head of the Monster Raving Loony Party. Killed himself aged 59. The UK's Yannick Noah, most people would be unaware of his previous 'career'.
Lord Such became Screaming Lord Such and created his own political party The Monster Raving Loony Party and stood in multiple general elections as a candidate
Really, if I'm gonna go Colorado, I go Stephen Stills With Manassas as #1 "Colorado", the Flying Burrito Bros "Colorado" at #2 by Rick Roberts. But that's just me.
I won;t rest until you've crowdfunded the arrival of the V-R for a marathon shopping/coffeeing/whackamoling/debating tagteam Vs the Audiophile Globetrotters. That's what's missing here, and it's a terrible terrible oversight.
This is as good as it gets a dynamic duo with each bringing the gift of music knowledge to others forever changing one’s life! The Positive Impact is Priceless! Thank You
Ten Years After I'd Love to Change the World one of the iconic songs

The professor from the University of Vinyl is one of my favorites. Great to see the two of you together.

Enjoyed the video. Alvin Lee and Ten Years After was such a lovely band.

Wishing You all the encouragement and well being during this time of your life.
A fun little video from two good folks!
This video is like Beatles and Rolling Stones would make a record together. 😂
Tim the man!!
I love these videos. Even if you guys know nothing about the album, I always learn something!
But we know almost everything 🤡😏
Josh White - picked up a 10” of his, I was surprised it was very good.

Mazzy joking aside ...you might be on to something the VC Air B& B ....I would consider that if we get to have cocktails and spin records.

I bought Watt as a kid way back when. That album by Ten Years After was always one of my favorites.
Love your channel Mazzie, truly enjoy watching.❤
I collect Josh White. Started to a few years ago.
"Screamin Lord Sutch" claim to fame was standing in virtually every parliamentary by election for about 40 years

Mazzy has the best channel in the VC
I thought it was called screaming lord sutch, perhaps one before this (read that on a deep purple cd liner notes)
Judge dread screaming lord sutch novelty rock and reggae.

He was the Head of the Crazy Looney party in the UK when I lived there . He ran for Political Office . I remember Him.

Everly bros national service short back and wallop hair all gone.
he wasn't a Lord - Screaming Lord Such - just slightly eccentric

No one has been able to defeat Maslov at Whack a Mole… I must make the pilgrimage to defeat the master.
Is this your cholo look with the one button?
Is that a thing 🤷🏻♂️
@@mazzysmusic Yep. Thought you might know that, since you said you lived in the mission district. Lots of Latinos in that area.

If I know Tim his suitcase is full of records for the way home Lol
