Love the request. The fossils, which are mostly clam, are found along one big wall of exposed silt. Either still in the wall or fallen into the water below. Haven't found any along other areas here which is why none were shown on this trip. Maybe I can do a short video of a fossil clam dig. Thanks for the comment. Keep em' coming 👍.
@@Mummaearth Yep, probably my second favorite place to hunt for rocks. I'm about to start talking with the forest manager of that region to see if I can take public fire roads that can get through private property to get miles deeper into the river. If I do I'm praying that it's going to be amazing. It's amazing down river where everyone can handle but it I can get to back country then it should be fairly pristine. Wish me, us luck, because all of you would get to come along.
I love on the Cedar River in Renton WA I have never found anything like that there. Maybe it’s where I’m at on it. I did find one tiny leaf fossil. That was pretty exciting for me. My only fossil. Lol
That's in the lower corner of your state. About a 3 hour drive each way for you. I'm looking to slowly explore my way north farther into Washington so maybe I'll be up your way sometime. Until then, if you get down this way...you know how to get a hold of me. I can pass on some locations and/or maybe we could connect.
i have to say - i do look for agates as a high wish list here in uk but i also look for the very circular stones too as they seem to hold special gifts too but yet to cut one of them so heres hoping !
have to say it again - some of those quartz look like they contain gold ..... i have seen others extract gold from quartz and not sure that i could or want to do that as i kind of see most stones as a once living part of this earth and only wish to learn more than earn from them, unless its more preservation than destruction
@@Mummaearth I've seen others grind rock for gold. Honestly gold doesn't do much for me unless I was to ever find a nugget or an obvious amount in a host rock. Seems like a lot of work for little reward...unless you're in a gold rich area. I have more to learn on the subject and Gold has value but personally for the time spent extracting it, I can sell polished rock slabs or polished Thundereggs online and make more that way. Not that we're talking money but when people talk gold, many are hoping someday they can get something significant out of the time spent. I'm thinking of selling some of my stuff on my eBay page. I know Etsy is the place for that but I already have an eBay store...plus it would be more of a spot that my viewers could get pieces that you all seen in one of my videos so platform doesn't really matter much.

I’d love to see some fossil finds along with all your other finds but keep up the great work.
I’m binging on you videos. So interesting and fun
Yay. I'll keep making them if you keep watching them 😁. Thanks
Some beautiful rocks there !
