This had just broken out to be the most requested instrumental ever in Pop music. Ever Kenny G himself never realized that this song alone was responsible for more than a million pregnancies , it has the magical love vipe to it. The store that I worked at ,(back when rack jobbers controlled how many tapes or albums a store received. ) Did not realize how fast this blew up. I ordered 1000 copies, 300CD, 200 vinyl albums and 500 cassettes. I remember it will , I received over 500 CDs 350 Cassette tapes, and like 100 albums on the first order I placed(usually I let rack joober do the ordering. ) Ah the 80s music. Beautiful
You surely know your music Audiogeek and I also grew up as a teen during the exciting 80s. The 1986 album Duo Tones was certified 5 times platinum which is unheard of for Jazz albums and this album by Kenny G. brought the Jazz to the mainstream audience.
I so wish I have some1 to play this beautiful serenade to. Some1 who understands and appreciate this kind of art some1 with an ear for such kind of art. Thank you Mr Kenny g for the beauty❤

"Songbird" IS smoothly done - nicely so. "Japan", a miss by the G-man a couple albums earlier with keyboardist Jeff Lorbor, turned out to be "Songbird" in workmanship: rhythm, melody, harmony, fashion and style.
He must have had to work on that upstream embouchure rigorously. Clarinet and soprano naturally have a very down tilting downstream embouchure. He has it almost perfectly horizontal.
