Well there was one moment where Pierre went around looking for a key to get into a church building behind us, and I was left alone to put up the tent.. 😂👍
Thankyou both this was a lovely video. I am thinking about this route and hope end of April begin of May with hard preparation to get from UK to France. Looking for a less travelled hike
@@TheOneGoodRoad thankyou will do. Id recommend going to FB page Love Is Not Tourism France and LINTUK and other countries as looooads of people are giving information about what steps they are taking in being able to go from one country to the next to see their SO family etc.
You guys have a good mindset imo... wonderful video, great footage. I'm watching and learning. Planning to go hiking myself. The first hike went wrong because i felt totally disorganized and didn't know how to go about when you arrive with a car. I hadn't thought it thru and felt i made mistake that could cost me if i was too impulsive. Home now watching videos that can teach me how to organize myself a bit better. And go for really short hikes first to shape up for the task. Thanx so much for sharing your experiences.
Hello my friend hope you are well and having a great day so far. Just found you today and really pleased we have your videos are awesome bro. Fantastic editing skills and great footage bro. Haven't been Hiking for a few years, but you have given me the urge to get out there again. This is so cool bro. We are new to this game and really appreciate your insight. We are also in the UK, Bournemouth, anyway bro thanks again, Stay safe and take care, catch up soon God bless you both 🙏👍❤️
Hey guys ..nice video shots and travels..i done the GR10 Hendaye to Luchon .solo with tent last year..half way point..will continue the second half when snow levels go..so was thinking of the GR78 Carcassonne to Lourdes ..in April ..if allowed and came across your route..could be an option..will check out the maps etc.. Also from UK living in France ...cheers Steve
@@stephenwalford774 Are you going in April. I was looking at this lovely footage and thinking about end of April combining it into a volunteer work am hoping to do. If you go this month do let us all know how it went and practicalities etc thanks.
Excellent video, thoughtful and shows off the peaceful nature and sometimes harsh beauty of this occitane area I have called my home for the last 7 years,I did the GR10 from Merens les vals to Banyuls sur mer myself this year.Subscribed.

Might I ask what map software you used to make that 3D route at the 2:27?
sure thing. Google Earth
Why there are fences?
History... Tons of it...
can you tell me what is the name of the convertible pants you used???
The names quechua, I have a review of them on the channel where I show the best budget gear from Decathlon.
Amazing but... I still don't get how you guys change bags between videos... and I mean, there are not that big too carry a lot of things... ???
Weight for us is best low as possible just personal preference. We are based near the area that's why bag change was doable.
