Excellent review I would love to see how the atlas 46 hold on, if anyone is interested on tool rolls that are not too expensive and have a lifetime warranty I'll suggest roaring fire bags yes they're made in China but they have a good quality I personally own a few of their tool rolls.
@@lastbesttool I have had terrible luck with Roaring Fire. They stitched the zipper pull tab to the bag. Contacted them and made me send videos, ( that is fine) won't get back to me and didn't send full order. They refuse to send rest of order. told me to just cut the stitching problem. Actually have had my emails come back as undeliverable now. Upon order my screen filled with Chinese writing so I contacted them and was told everything from China. Are they American at all?? I have ordered from them before but very dissatisfied now. Love you videos, Just respectfully disagreeing.
@@mikee5246 I try to avoid anything made in China, but it’s hard these days. I want to support companies in the USA, not the CCP. I have the Yorktown made by atlas 46, and I may buy another larger one.
Atlas 46 WILL replace your problem and be happy to do it. I'm sure it was just an accidental oversight. They are near me and they have a very high standard of quality and hire people and train them. USA made in Missouri.
I have the Aglas 46 tool roll I have used it 6 days a week for the last 4 years and I love it. It is the highest quality tool roll I've ever owned. Worth every dollar I paid. And USA made / owned/ forever.
I’ve had mine for about 3 years now, maybe 4. And it’s been absolutely flawless. Taken it around the world for work. I do wrap my handles in paracord to make it better to handle.
I have had an Atlas 46 vest and pouches for several years now and it has held up great… Their stuff is pretty pricey, but it has lasted longer than other stuff I have used. Nice Video as always.. 👍
using bucket boss for long tim e now, great product! Never even considered using it hanging so that was never an issue one for the motorcycle one for the car
@4:41. Agreed!! I seriously looked at Altas 46 when I was shopping around for a tool belt with a modular system. I really liked their stuff except for all the Velcro. I commented on someone’s channel about the very thing you mentioned & got a snarky retort so I lost interest. I lokked at Occidental Leather & Akribis out of Canada (BC) & went with Akribis. They make excellent stuff & it’s beautiful. If a tool belt could be eye candy this would be it!! They are in the heavy side tho. It’s more custom shop. Made to order.
I have 3 atlas bags currently and can't recommend them enough! absolutely amazing American made quality. I work in a rocket aerospace company and I can tell you, these bags can take a beating!! atlas and veto are the only 2 tool bags im rockin' with currently.
I checked out the Atlas46 products on their website after watching this. Man - they sell some beautiful bags and rolls. The leather socket roll and other leather stuff is pretty sweet. Lots of magnetic clip on doodads too. Thanks for enlightening us! I feel sure they will send you a replacement for the bad zip.
Atlas 46 is the leader in tool belts, holders, bags, and rigs. I love Atlas 46 stuff. Expensive, yes, but totally worth working with quality on the job.
I use the same bucket boss for my truck EDC. It's nice and compact and fits perfectly in the compartment behind the backseat in the Gen 3 Toyota Tacoma
I have YorkTown ToolRoll that I bought in 2018 and it’s been through lots of car DIY projects and backyard fence rebuilding in 2020 and the zippers are still A1. No regrets.
When I was a framer I really really wanted their framer pack , with the hammer and nail puller holsters and pockets for stick nails for framing guns .. always had to settle for Dewalt bags because couldn't afford the atlas
Good Old Atlas 46! They do make NICE things....I ordered the Saratoga Vest with various pouches. Order was around $1000. It took them close to a year to ship me a vest and a few items, no pouches. I got the Special Hanger before I got the darn Vest! Gave me the Made in America line. I did speak to this one girl finally over a phone conversation because I was sick of the back and forth emailing. They were FAST to take the cash. I asked them if I could just return the few things I got. They did Give me a Prompt refund and shipped me 2 pouches that I use on another belt. The pouches came months later out of the blue wasn't even expecting them. I would not order another Atlas 46 Product. Sorry about the rant Doc. Great video as always. I always look forward to your videos!!
Looks like you got the smallest Atlas 46 one. They make at least three larger sizes, the Yorktown, the mechanics roll, and the beast. I got the Yorktown, which has storage on the back side for wrenches, and other Misc. tools. I wanted the mechanics roll, but they didn’t have it in the quick disconnect version on Amazon. I’m really happy with mine. I got the quick detach version. I believe you can put 40 lbs in it. I have about 25 lbs in it now, but still have to add my 3/8 and 1/2 socket sets. I have wrenches up to 1” for now, and plan to go bigger. The Atlas 46 has a lifetime warranty. Sorry you got a defective zipper. Highly unusual.
I’m all about made in USA, but I ended up going with Ekorn, which is a small husband and wife US company, but their Tool rolls are made in China. They make a an Atlas 46 knock off with YKK zippers for under $40, and it is great and has held up well.
I will throw that Atlas tool roll in the back of my Lambo Huracan when I get one. For my Trident I found something similar on Amazon for $18. Since I will probably never actually open the tool roll, I am feeling OK with my decision.
Nice review but in my experience they end up a bit pants because you cant really see what is in the pocket and you end up ferreting around . I am back to each tool in a single pocket so you can see what is there and at the end of the job what is not there.
Have you done anything with pouches that you can wear on the tool belt. I was looking at The Holstery Joey Pouch. Seems to be the solution to hold small parts and a few tools.
Carhartt is a Woke anti gun company. I won’t buy anything from them ever again, an I have bought a lot of there products in the past unfortunately. That was an exhaustive review on those tool bags. Very well done. Thanks
Suggestions please for anyone seeing this. I'm a DIY guy and sometimes I have to pack my tools to go do a project. I have a nice believe it or not large Husky rolling tool bag that holds a ton of stuff quite large and heavy. Sometimes it's a bit too big for what I need so I am looking for a shoulder carry bag. I don't like roll ups. I was thinking maybe a Veto but that's probably overkill for the occasional project. Open for suggestions.
@@hhoverdrive1 That's too bad. My roller is really made well but sometimes it's just too big and heavy for a smaller job. I have a couple carry bags but they are too small. I know i don't want a roll up. I am lazy and want to just be able to get at my tools easily. Backpacks sometimes are cumbersome to put on and take off so a shoulder sling for me fits the bill. The other guys Veto sale suggestion might be the ticket.
Did you return your tool roll? they will take care of you. You can print a prepaid priority label on their site. I finally got my vest not the saratoga but the back mesh vest. I love it bec. it has a lot of pockets and it's breathable and heavy duty. If you work on the field it's worth checking out. I bought it directly from their site.
I have multiple vehicles each with their own tool roll. Haven't wore any of them out. None of them were over 50 bucks. Nome of them are name brand, yet their all handier than a pocket in a shirt.
I really enjoy your vids. When I search for tools. Most of the time you vids pop up. I'm not familiar with this brand and when I was checking their site I end up buying their vest. Their prices are expensive though. Even when you compare it to veto. But I like their designs. Like this bag in your video. Are you gonna buy some from this brand? just wondering.
Excellent review video. I wouldn’t be too happy about that zipper either. I hate to say it, but concerning Carhartt, since they mandated their employees to take a medical product or be terminated. I have not bought anything nor will I ever buy anything from them again. I used to like Carhartt for their high quality winter clothes.

The Atlas 46 has lot's of research and development in it, but obviously NOT quality control. They take your $140, but can't give you 30 seconds of testing and inspection BEFORE putting it in a box before shipping. "American Made" can be nice, but not always. It depends on the American building and assembling it. You find the defective zipper in the moment you open it, but the DEI employee doesn't see it or feel it when doing the stitching. Hmmm... A shame you had to send it back right after getting it. I hope they were quick with the swap.
Personally i find too many pockets a real pain, especially when you can't see what's stored inside. You find yourself undoing every pocket just to find that damned tool you need!

I find that the coating like what is on the inside of the Atlas, breaks down and becomes sticky after a while (under 10 year or so)
My atlas 46 Yorktown has no such coating. It’s the same material inside and out. Sure your not talking about someone else’s product?
