Fun fact: Tennant said that he walks that way partially because Crowley was a snake but partially because those trousers are so tight that there's no way you can move naturally in them.

I remember Tennant had to have back surgery in December 2009 when he was playing Hamlet on stage, and when he filmed his finale on Doctor Who, in the scene where he had to be wheeled very fast down some stairs in a sort of wheelchair, they used a dummy of him for fear of messing up his back. Of course he was very well recovered by the time of the first Good Omens, fortunately. Love that he can walk in a way that reminds me of a snake. (I notice that he puts his lead foot directly in front of his back foot with almost every step, like a model.) You can tell he thought about that aspect of the character, and incorporated it.
Yes, I remember when he filmed the Doctor Who episode “Blink (Don’t Blink) he was only seen seated, talking to the characters through the old television set and the reason talked about on social media was because he needed a back operation. Glad it was successful!
My favorite Crowley walk and look out of both seasons is in S1 when he walks into the "head office" building to report on how Adam is doing when he's around five years old, the same look as when he gets on the bus w/ Aziraphale. He always looks foxy but somehow the half-up hairstyle and fitted coat turn up the heat a thousand degrees.

His “distinctive walk” is actually the near ideal way to walk if you have spinal issues. I say NEAR ideal because he leads with his chin much of the time; don’t do that! Throws the C4-8 vertebrae out of alignment, painful AF over the long term. One of those posture corrector thingies (looks like backpack straps sans backpack) fixes that. Otherwise; that amount of sassy hip and shoulder movement will keep you limber! Just an FYI from a fatal car wreck survivor. ;)

I'm a licensed massage therapist, and have worked with several chiropractors. The cervical spine only has seven vertebrae not eight.
@@ladyjustice1474 well, the spinal surgeon told me that my C5-8 were in pretty bad shape after the accident. Just going by what he said. Regardless, the pain cleared up entirely after months of PT, the posture corrector (which I still wear on and off) and adjustments to my formally fairly stiff walk. And it’s been 11 years now since the crash!

Crowley was a snake and he walks in the same slithery motion as a snake moves.
Fun fact, I walk in a similar way but not as dramatic. I saw it in a music video (INXS - Never Tear us apart, 2 :50 scene when the vocalist walks across some park.) I found it very Gender and it rewired my brain. I feel very validated people like this swag style hahaha
