I good muso NEVER wants to watch someone smashing instruments. They an extension of you. So glad you like John - he can smash it out vocally and sing the most beautiful balads.
Unfortunately.. I have only been to Two of John's concerts.... One of those concerts was in Tasmania..and 'THAT' night it rained non-stop. John did not give a shit, I don't know how they kept the instruments going...but John kept singing..We were drenched and so was John. Damn, that was a great concert..!
My daughter had her long hair permed during this time, spending a small fortune on it. Many Australian musicians honed their skills and earned their stripes playing at pubs/hotels and from this comes the name Aussie 'Pub Rock'. Some used gimmicks/theatrics, such as microphone stand tricks etc., to gain and keep attention in such noisy, alcohol- imbibing environments. The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra stated that they had the most fun working with John Farnham. He is a lovely, humble, funny man and a consummate professional and showman. For another up-tempo, tight, smashing-it song, please check out, 'Playing To Win', co-written by John. The live concert version is always a better choice. For an opposite experience there is, 'Burn For You', also co-written by John and, 'Angels,' with one of his backing singers, the talented and appreciated Lisa Edwards.
Told you it was PURE PARTY! When hair had a mind of its own LOL! Love the alternating guitar/violins and to see how much fun Dobbs (the conductor) is having too.Get well Farnsey! 💕
Wonderful reaction my friend. Update on John he is still in recovery but out of ICU and still has months of rehab to do. Not sure if he will ever perform again...His family said he just wants to get back to his farm and ride his horses etc. His fans are sharing all 'Reaction Videos' with John and he is blown away by the support from the rest of the world. I'm going to share your link with his fan group so hopefully John will get to see it. Sending love from Australia. 💖 ps you can't go wrong if you do the entire performances from this concert. Then I'm sure you'll be searching for others...and down the rabbit hole you'll go lol
What energy! Another off the charts performance by the great man. Now this is the way you finish a concert. Leave them on a high! I saw his 2 sons interviewed the other night and I'm so glad to hear he's doing well.🥰
Out of my 105 Farnham concerts...this was THE BEST! The crows was amazing and John was at his best!! This was also the last song of a 2 hour concert...and his voice is still there!
You had to be there to appreciate the atmosphere the orchestra , band members , backup singers and 90% of the audience all went feral for this song it was like a 3ring circus ,something happening wherever you looked and something that anyone attending will never forget. I would like to have you react to Farnsey singing COOL CHANGE a song from the LITTLE RIVER BAND that John was lead singer of for a while after the original lead left , the song is the most calming I've heard in my 70 odd yrs of listening to music and well worth your time .
Love the energy in this one, look how much fun the orchestra is having. This man can sing anything he’s a legend, you want rock Farnsey will show ya he’s the best at that too
FARNHAM CONCERTS ARE AMAZING, MATE THAT WAS 1988/9 ,YOU CAME OUT BUZZING.SAME CONCERT BUT WATCH THE SADIE REACTION THEY ALL PLAY THE UKULELE. AND THE MSO RUN AROUND WITH MOPS.😆😆💕🇦🇺
The whole concert's up on YT, if you search 'Classic Jack Live in Concert'. Might be a bit long to react to but a fun watch for sure. Another song from this concert that's definitely worth a reaction is 'Playing To Win', one that Farnsey wrote when he was a member of Little River Band. Make sure to click the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra version!
There's a video of John and his good friend Tom Jones rocking this song together during an Australian tour. Treat yourself and listen to these two powerhouses together. AMAZING!
Oh I love that performance with Tom Jones...There is also that one from I think it might have been the Logies...and John & Tom sang and then had to do a quick encore for the screaming audience...lol
Great reaction. We all love Farnsey. He is just that much of a nice guy. And he always tells everyone to be safe driving home. There is so many more great videos for you to discover. Can wait to see what you find next Playing to Win and Chain Reaction also great favourites of all
Getting out of some of these larger venues all at the same time was sometimes a little tricky - especially when with our population being small it wasn't always common to have that many people in the same place ! John is, was and always will be one of the most down to Earth and humble people - he was well aware of how awful our city planning/traffic grids were and still are ! Hahaha.. nightmare especially in Perth - one way in...one way out !! Totally worth it...did it many many times for Farnsey and would definitely do it again in a heartbeat !
Not wrong Jo. Getting out of the old Entertainment Centre car park. But had the tape blaring the two hours of John while we waited. If you haven't seen it, go and see John Farnham The Voice doco. Saw it last night. Was brilliant.
@@carolinelane9599 I'm seeing it on Wednesday Caroline... I'm so glad that Gaynor finished it for them.... The Ent Cent...wow...we probably went on the same nights ! What a small world we live in when you think about it... and how lucky we are that we got to see John multiple times over the years.... I liked the Ent Cent way better than the dome... the sound was way better....
@@JoSedunary We probably did go the same nights lol I agree. The old Ent Cent was much better. Hope you enjoy it. Wasn't what we expected. Not sure what we did expect. But was great.
He naild this song at the age of 72. Before he got sick. He will allways be my nr one male singer. I hope for a full recovery and to see him back on stage again where he belongs.
If you like ACDC & orchestras, you should watch 2Cellos with Thunderstruck. Not the whole orchestra, just cellos(lol), but absolutely awesome. They can play anything. This concert of John's was fantastic. Great reaction 💕
The HAIRCUTS? You can have the same - Now! Just grow it and hack off the sides around your ears. It's called a MULLET. Enjoy! 😆 Standing in front of a wind machine is also helpful to 'the look' - Oh... and learning how to throw - and catch - a mike stand without causing yourself - or bystanders - serious injury. That's kind of foundational. 🤣😂🙃 Hard to find a Symphony Orchestra having this much fun anywhere else in the world, me thinks , then or now!👋👋👋
We all had hair like that in the 80's mate. I'm 65 now, but I had it shoulder length, bleached blonde with a gold ear ring hooped through my left ear. I had no musical talent whatsoever, but if you can't be a rock star, try and look like one... :)
Try John with Anthony Warlow singing an opera song Granada also other songs with our dear Olivier Newton John from Grease. All 3 of these stars had cancer sadly Olivier lost her fight this year and John fighting his. Anthony has a beautiful voice and the 3 of them make beautiful music
G'day. Now you reacted to this which Was a great song which john Did this amazing. You mentioned the back up singers. Check out his version of AMAZING GRACE with two of the Back up singers , you will love it. And another is ANGELS. with one of his back up singer. Keep up the great reactions mate.
I’ve gone to a lot of concerts from visiting artists. This concert beats all of them hands down. You come out of a John Farnham concert on a high I would love it if they put this concert on the big movie screen. Because I would go. From start to finish it was brilliant
Now look up him singing led zeppelin black dog just as good you might only find sound track but apparently he uses it for warm up vocals It sounds just as good If you want to see his character look up angels with lisa Edwards his back up singer That a natural thing for john to wish everyone a safe drive home he's always been very humble and always sang tonraise money for charitys
you can't stop now, more aussie talent please, i have two great options, for the wildest chaotic brilliant performance try oils on water- stand in line - midnight oil featuring the individual dance styles of lead singer peter garrett, and for the perfect female voice try katie noonan covers sia's chandelier for live at the bridge
Best singer I never heard about until RUclips🥰 He kills this. Great reaction.
"Those Haircuts" aka Mullets .. are back in fashion amongst Aussie Male Youths in 2022...
Venetta Fields is famous american singer who did back up for pink floyd and many others

I like AC/DC but I love John. The hair is coming back fast. He always told us to be careful going home and he meant it.

ha ha ... face melted but i'll wear my seat belt Mr Farnham xoxo
My apologies, I'm late to your excellent party. Yes, I was there! I was on an endorphin high for a week.
The backup singers are Lisa Edwards (still with him), Venetta Fields (retired) and Lindsay Field (still with him).

John says this is his favourite rock song. They are having so much fun.
John doing, Led Zeppelin's
"BLACK DOG", it's truly AMAZING.
Love this. Love John. And how much fun was that orchestra having??!!
As Get Real mentioned John doing a sound check to Led Zeppelin's Bad Dog is just amazing!!

As I’ve said before the place was literally moving. Everyone on their feet: couldn’t help it.🎉 and then came the encores
Everyone on stage giving off kid on Christmas morning energy 😁
See us poor underestimated Aussies had more than people thought that we did. We just hid our talent and kept it to ourselves for a very long time.

React to When the War is Over (The Last time 2003) - it’s a Cold Chisel song but in this specific version John has made it his own
He’s a bonza bloke! 😂😂😂…seriously, he’s just a seriously nice guy! Humble, still, after all these years at the top!

Different to Bach & Mozart.
Aussie orchestras enjoy a bit of variety. Backed Kiss on one tour.
