Most of them aren't Jackie's. He broke his ankle during Rumble in the Bronx, so stunt doubles took his place in the more complicated fight choreography.
When I saw this I was like damn Jackie Chan actually uses a stunt double and it crushed me at the time because he was known for doing his own stunts. But years later I found out why he used a stunt double in this film, it was because he hurt himself during the film and he had to use a stunt double.
La Flama Blanca most of this fight scene that involved quick movement and complicated kicking techniques was performed by Chin Kar Lok,who was a member of Sammo Hungs stunt team.Jackie did very little in this and the second fight scene because of the injury
@@TheFranktel even if this is true, I can't and won't blame him one bit. Jackie had proven his worth over decades of shooting masterpiece after masterpiece, so he can and SHOULD be excused in this one instance. If using a stunt double in this short fight means allowing him to recover so he can shoot more movies in the future (which he did... aplenty) then I'm all for using a double ^_^
bla bla I think what annoys people is the fact he claims he does all his stunts when it’s obvious he doesn’t.It makes me mad that he claimed he did the car park/balcony jump from Rumble when it wasn’t him and there are certain outtakes which have been set up to make them look like he has hurt himself when he hasn’t.but saying all that he has done some incredible stuff and some of the best fight choreography ever seen👍
@@TheFranktel to be honest I have never heard him claim to have done that balcony jump but then again, I pretty much never listen to interviews of any kind (including of Jackie's). But anyway, you probably know better so I'll take your word for it. In what concerns me (and from a spectator's point of view) Jackie had done a lot of great things for the movie industry. He's by far my favorite actor in the world, so I will excuse most of his lies :)

Man, this is a pretty cool fight scene, but I always felt like there was something off about this movie compared to Chan's other work... now I finally see it. The camera is so so close to the action, like WAY closer to the fighters than in Jackie Chan's classic stuff. Makes it much harder to follow, and the rapid editing makes things even more disorienting. But still... that ear clap at 3:47 remains an absolutely awesome moment of like, peak 1990s Jackie -- holy crap 😮
The fight scenes were shot that way to cover up the fact that jackie chan isn't actually performing 80% of it. The fights and stunts are mostly handled by JC Stunt team in this movie because Chan had injuries that he was recovering from due to a stunt from a previous movie
To add to the other comment, the action was choreographed by the great Sammo Hung, and the style here is very much similar to Hung’s other work during this time period (for example, Don’t Give A Damn and Ashes of Time).
That wos is great fight!!! O wana kick some ass like him)) But that not Jackie. . Sammo Hung is all cameras seeing I m sorry,I am from Russia and not so quality in language
Obvious there was an American cameraman filming this fight sequence as the camera was WAY too close to the martial arts and stunt work here even by Hong Kong standards. Where the f*ck was Jackie doing some quality control here??
Also this is the 4:3 aspect ratio, the film was shot on anamorphic lenses so it could be seen in widescreen. It actually looks good in the widescreen version.
it's odd... because I have this movie on my HDD and it's filmed in the normal JC style. I can't understand what the problem is with this videoclip, but it's definitely not the same quality cameraworks as the movie on my HDD. Really odd....
My first theatre movie ever, and might be the one that inspired F&F saga. Brings back memories!
This fight is so underrated.
Jackie chan is the best ? 😆
I know this is late but I just realized it's a stunt double
Holy shit, them kicks! This has to be some of the best fight scenes put to film, absolute quality.

+Josh Baker (JoJoeFilms) is it true that he really wreck one of the sports car in this movie?.
I agree this scene is incredible. Watch the mall fight from police story.

TheGoku1984 the stunt double did only like one lil part and it wasn’t a big stunt. Jackie still did the best stunts in this scene so it’s ok

Jackie chan fighting style:badass and sometime funny
yep, that's his trademark alright :)
Sound effects punch is comedy haha
Why does Jackie's grunt fight sounds like Sammo Hung? At 1:39
such a great fight, wish Jacki did all this instead of using stunt in many scenes here, but overall fantastic.
All the camera shaking, we can still see how they fight, and makes it looks like manga
