Free line fishing for mangrove snappers is absolutely a blast. We get to do it out of Daytona Beach, usually in the beginning of summer. Keep it going. Thank you for sharing your adventures. Adventures. Be safe.
I’m a first yr angler and tried salt water fishing for the first time and caught a mangrove on a lure … it was pretty exhilarating because that was the goal for the day . To catch a fish on a lure and he was my last and final cast of the day before heading out lol . And soooooo delicious on the grill ❤
Solid mangs! Always a blast on light tackle when you get into the big ones. Obviously you guys had plenty of fish to eat but when you guys made the comment you were at your limit of 10 total, the limit actually doubles to 10 per person in federal waters(by depth I’d assume you were in federal). Great afternoon bite!
Great video. is this type of fishing all on anchor? How long of anchor rope do you carry. Do you anchor on the high side of the ledge and fish over the drop off or do you chum and lure the fish up above the ledge?
My bad for the Late Reply, trying my best to catch up: I use spot lock MinnKota to pinpoint me exactly where I need to be adjust till I find where their chewing above, below, side wherever
Man that was some amazing fishing!!! Finally got my boat and learning the Tampa bay Edmonton key area. Any recommendations for a new boater? Looking to catch anything, taking the kids out.
Now those were some serious Mangrove Snapper!! Very nicely done!! I have been wanting to go out with a charter boat for some BIG Mangroves and Gags but I just hadn't found the crew I thought could get it done. I guess I know who I will be looking up when the time comes. Is there a particular time of year that is better? I guess the question on everybody's mind these days is how has the red tide been affecting the fish offshore there (or is offshore still OK)?
I enjoy your videos. You said 60 to 70’ of water. We’re you south of the shipping channel? I usually go north of the channel. I would like to explore south.
Bro this video right here is why I can’t wait to get back down to my parents and go fishing with u bub!!! Those mang’s were freaking donkeys man!! Heck even a couple of those lane’s seemed pretty dang big!!! And question for u, how do u tell the difference between a gag grouper and a Goliath grouper? Or are they the same thing, and people just call them different names? Might be a stupid question but I’m just trying to learn as much as I can! That’s why I can’t wait for u to do a knot video and what rigs u like to throw! But freaking awesome awesome video man as usual!! Keep up the amazing work buddy!!!
@@FishingWithSalty yes sir most definitely, I totally agree. I was supposed to come down there at the end of this month but with this crummy weather we have been having here for the past 2-2.5 weeks, I haven’t been able to work 😢. For 3-4 days, the high didn’t get above 8 degrees and it’s been snowing and freezing rain and just abunch of nasty crappy weather, but we will make it happen as soon as possible big man! And are Goliath and gags the same species and people just call them different names or are they two separate fish? I know that’s prob a stupid question but I was just curious!

That is an odd looking landing net. Guess you guys caught so many monster mangs that you bent the handle. Nice work, seriously.
It’s my favorite it’s actually for kayak fishing it’s a “YakAttack” net amzn.to/3da47oF
