Let us see drag race with IS-f !! that would be cool
A roll on the highway
It can keep up with an F. Maybe, Yes.
Fs are another level.
should win, it has more power and possibly or the possibility to be lighter, this is about 500crank vs 416crank in the stock Isf, I guess it comes down to money, which one costs more in the end.
Yes pls
Everybody comparing to the isf always forget the 8 speed. Good gearing>too much power
So youre at about the same WHP/WTQ as a FBO IS-F... (even without the new exhaust) i think you know what we want to see next. some proper dig/roll races with your brothers IS-F, please! >:)
yes
👍🏼
FBO ISF wins by a good amount lol. I’ve seen it already unfortunately.
IS 350 has shorter rear diff ratio, closer gears, smaller wheels and weighs 100kg less than the ISF. I think for a short dig race it'll walk the ISF, but eventually the F will catch it - how long it'll take to catch up? Who knows...
What’s that screen to the left hanging on the pillar?
For next ideas, I would love to see what true dual exhaust you end up getting. Also if you're planning to keep the cats on it, you seem like the kind of guy who would want this car to be street legal ! I've got a 2011 IS 350 and youre an inspiration man. Crazy how much you can push these Toyota engines
I have an XFORCE cat back in the garage with a Varex system ready to install next! And my car is completely Catless…none in the headers or mid pipes.
@@MartyMotoring hi what nomber is your transmision?? this years have to medel?
My question is with Lexus being so reliable, when you supercharge the car and modify it, are we sacrificing the reliability of it going 250k+ miles before big things break? You can obviously keep fixing things but typically just oil changes and regular stuff is going to make it high miles with Lexus, are we adding huge risk factor here or minimal?
Yup. Got 195k on my 06 350 now. Would love more speed, but not at the sacrifice of reliability.
Well anytime you put more stress to an engine especially given that it’s a Naturally aspirated engine w a turbo/super charger kit than the reliability decreases. Who knows how much but it’ll definitely decrease
It will easily blow-up without a perfect tune. His best bet is to get it on e85 fuel.
Yeah you're increasing internal pressures and speeding wear. Got 191k on my 07 350 with zero problems and not worth boosting it IMO. I have my F80 for the boosted performance lol.
@@MikeyG003 an f80 and an 07 is350 quite the combo
Damnnnn can't wait to see the rolls/digs with the 350 it has been a long but successful journey for you!
This is awesome. I have 2011 is350 AWD, I wish you all the best mate.
nice, completed project.
I thought people who drive in city traffic opt for a supercharger over turbo, since you dont have to wait for the turbo to spool up, so may i ask the reason for opting for super charger over turbo?
Edit: Oh, they only offer a supercharger kit, alright.
watched the whole series throughout, subbed, and liked every video!
Damn 429!!! 👍👍
With that much power upgrade, I wonder if it compromises components and parts, and overall reliability?
Lots of power! It definitely puts more strain on things, but Toyotas and Lexuses are overbuilt
Forged internls factory remember guys.
@@martinodisho1955forged internals from factory ?
Great video ! Can’t wait to see how it does against a fbo tuned NOS is350! Also would like to see a 60-130
goal is to buy an is350 before the redesign and wanted to boost it. so now i can try to keep up with my friend who is getting the isf
For the 0-60 you can use a dragy its a gps device that you can record with your phone video
Yup, I have one! Just haven't had the chance to use it yet lol
I know it’s not made for that just curious What’s fuel mileage on a super charged car look like? thanks
Same
@@anthonybruno2147 lol, doubt it.
Its probably close to the same as long as you stay out of boost. With a centrifugal you aren’t getting a lot of boost in normal driving conditions.
Super and turbo chargers have research it helps MPG. As long as u don't focus on boost. So just have a boost switch and be good
@@ebaysnipa it's the same. It just depends on your foot.
I've been trying to decide if I should sell my IS350 or not it's an 08 with 155k on it. If I wait too long it'll lose more value. But I'm in WA state and I see your video and it makes me think maybe I should keep it and customize it.
is it worth it. I have a is350 as well but I don’t know wether i should spend a few grand on the sc or just save it for a better car
Their lowest priced entry level kit "RR625" claims around 530whp with E30 blend.
430whp on 93 seems pretty low.
You’re thinking of the ISF with the supercharger. That’s a V8. Mine is an IS350 with the V6. 430whp is great when FBO was 282whp…
Awesome video! Thanks for sharing to us your supercharged IS350 built! An inspiration to all of us!
I wish I can find a USB 2nd gen IS 350 . Those are stupid rare
Woah, didn't know you supercharged it. Been following your build a while now. Nice brother
Marty.... definitely want an isf comparison. Great video. Hope it the car gets sorted
I'm just wondering what was the check engine light because I have the same problem on my is250 After I got the RR racing tune It happened after like a month ago I started coming out the check engine light and I reset it but it comes back on
congrats! good to see it's finally done! Quick Q, when the fuel pump pressure dropped, did it show you're leaning out on the AFR gauge?
I want to see it against the IS-F
Hey Marty nice video! I had a question I was hoping you could answer. I know you have great experience with this generation of the 350's. So I bought a 2010 is 350 with 110k miles and I absolutely love it; however, I am slightly concerned about the transmission. I've never owned a sports car before, but is it normal to feel some of the shifts in lower gears with a car like this? It seems to shift at the right RPM's and goes into drive/reverse fine, I just get an ever so slight jolt during each shift. If I give it good or full gas it shifts nice and smooth, same for very light acceleration. Just want this car to last as long as possible. Great to see more IS content!
Imo its just the transmission ecu trying to determine the best gear for you to be in and sometimes it will drop gears on you during acceleration which will feel like an aggressive jolt
I had to replace my whole tranny at 165k so they arent flawless. I've noticed that the ecu does a lot of thinking sometimes and other times it throws gears no problem. I've also noticed that it seems to reset everything after you come to a full stop and launch again. It does jerk you around quite a bit with the shifting though. I think that's just the "sportiness" of it shining through
lets go brandon
😂😂
Nice video man I still wish a turbo kit could be done on these cars but space is the issue, unless you go rear mounted. I think these cars would put even better numbers with a turbo setup.
Possibly. This is a belt driven turbo and sits right next to the engine and still makes great boost while being a separate system
Yes thats how its done in JA.. rear mounted turbos that use grease so no oil plumbing
You could fabricate a custom setup. It would no doubt be risky and potentially blow up due to the high compression of the engine. We need the aftermarket community to develop internal mods for our platform
@@8500Rask 6.5 psi on the 350 2gr fse is good
@@truckingjamaicans5045 got any pic or video?
Great vlogs on your supercharged IS350 build 👍
Yoooooooooooo. U need to go head to head w a FBO isf ur definitely taking stocks one bro go clown on sum scatpacks n post it pls
Ik this may seem like a dumb question but why is it when I give my is350 the beans it smells like eggs I think it’s oil but I’m not sure
Clogged or bad catalytic converter, running high rpms every now and then will clean it out eventually
theres some vents in the back wheel wells that stay open when they get old
So you match the ISF's power now, wow
Yup, a little more actually. ISF are 416 crank, or 375ish wheel. I’m 429 wheel which means like 500+ at the engine!
@@MartyMotoring
I think faster then ISF? 🤔
Been waiting for this video
Hell yeahh
I wanna do this to my 2022
Toyota mark x 350s 2grfse makes 514 whp on 6.5 psi in jamaica
Stock engine?
@rosmarcrespo3409 yes but it was detuned n a manual scary to drive with that power
@@truckingjamaicans5045 nothing some big tires slicks and FRS/gt86 differential can fix
@rosmarcrespo3409 true the auto sucks when too much torque is applied
I would love to see rr make a bracket for the oil cooler. Are you going to our have you already swapped out the coilovers
Looks like we all want to see it against the f lol
I have a Ultra Sonic Mica is350 f sport just like yours it’s such a rare color in this model, was it worth it with all the modifications?
Damn! I wonder how much we can extract from a 250 with a Supercharger.
THE DAY HAS COME
What wheel specs are on your car? On your website you only mentioned 18” wheels and I NEED this fitment lol
Dude!! Welcome to WA!! You have to stop by dicks burgers and grad a deluxe!! Can’t leave Seattle with out one! Makes in and out look weak! Or Seoul Burger in Tacoma!
Sooo sick!!
Sooo nice! :D
Whats the wheels and tires spec bro??
How much did you pay for all this?
Well the short answer is discounted and I got some nice deals. But most would spend $18k for the car, $6k in mods, $8k for supercharger and install. I didn’t spend that, though. I think my total cost is like $21k all said and done.
Did you use oem pump or what pump ? Will a high flow pump help
I now have an AEM 340 fuel pump
What fuel do you genuinely run? Dispite te currently costs for fuel. I'm running Shell V-power
I usually get 93 at sams club or Sunoco
was it worth it? thinking of taking mine to get supercharged from rr racing as well.
It was a lot of work since it did it myself, but it’s super fun so yes. If you have them do it, it’ll cost more than it did for me.
The SC 350 Won
What do these Dyno at , from factory and fbo tuned ?
Around 265whp stock, anywhere from 270-290 FBO.
And then of course 400+ with the supercharger.
@@MartyMotoring great information bro, fire build
rims?
Enkei Kojin
Finally!
Now race the ISF)
Hey what % r ur tints?
20%
Why not just buy an ISF?
Making more power for cheaper and turbo noises = fun! Lol
@@MartyMotoring what's up Marty been following ad watching your videos I have a is350 stock want to super charge I see you doing alot more power now that's good
Hell yeah!!! I would love to see the rematch with your brother's ISF , and i would like to see a ride along video as well(i volunteer myself to ride along to see the power an SC is350 has 😅😂) ! Super happy and can't wait for more content on the build !
Great job! I enjoy seeing your build and your car. I hope the S/C remains reliable. Waiting for races, 0-60 and 1 1/4 runs.
I love how like Marty is an upcoming RUclips that probably lives like 15 min away from me. I would love to hear the IS 350 on the highway someday
Dude, I've been watching your channel for maybe around 2 years now. Your vids helped me understand my is350. I'm super happy you have been able to follow your dreams and make this IS a reality 💪.
Rafi is such a good guy honestly! Wouldn't trust anyone else more with my Lex
I am curious was any of this content sponsored? I am trying to figure out what the entire cost is for this to be installed. I may do this if it makes financial sense, however ISF purchase may be better.
If you lived near rr racing I reckon go for it but if you dont get the isf a lot less problems 🤣
Thats very cool! After owning my Is-F for about a month I hoped into my is350 and the "weak point" in the 350 is the transmission. It makes hard driving not as fun and its very slow on shifting. I enjoy the F transmission alot more. Stoked to see how yours drives and the longevity of it!
Exactly. Isf will last 200k miles. A supercharged is350 that needs a perfect tune to not blow-up...
@@michaelangelo5783 I think is350 last a long time too. My is350 has 190k and my isF have 167k. I have no doubt both will easily be at the 250k mark. BUT I didn't want to supercharge my old is350😂 Marty bought a newer and lower mileage is350 I think it'll last awhile
Yeah this won’t be my daily driver so I’ll be ok. Lol. And yeah transmission if soft and laggy compared to the ISF but I’m used to it. Kinda how my Tacoma is too. Tuned for comfort and only 6 aggressive gears
@@MartyMotoring yeah I assumed that is only Downfall of this build. Nice man, from earlier videos I thought you would get an Isf. This is nice and less common
I cant wait for this aftermarket to continue to grow among the lexus/is350 community. Hopefully one day we will have some option to convert our cars to be able to use the newer 8 speed transmissions or even the isf 8 speed. 0.1 second shifts, the smoothness of a traditional torque converter automatic, with the speed of a dual clutch. The best of both worlds.
Damn i have an is350 with sard 6 speed manual transmission on Japan/ i want to install this supercharger kit so baddd … what fuel pump are you using?
A collab and run with 350 Otto would be awesome to see.
Is350 SC VS isf fbo or stock please
Very nice bro! I told you 430hp 👏
You were spot on!!
How much it cost and what brand?
Damn, that's sick bro! I would've totally done this build for a daily since I really like that platform, but that's gonna be such a pain here in Cali lol.
your channel is the reason i went from bmw to lexus props bro
Good power and ill bet it’s great to have it back mate. Can’t wait to see you race against an FBO ISF!
I love it. We have to link up and do a comparison with my FBO RCF
That would be fun!
My guy! I’ve been watching you for some time. I myself enjoy the luxury of driving a 2008 IS350. An this is the one I’ve been waiting for!!! Definitely impressed!!!
1/4 mile time please
1/8 mile would be sweet, maybe some roll races. Glad you got it working smoothly and thanks for sharing.
Called that 429 whp on the money btw 🤙
I remember that! Awesome guess
Thanks for the good videos. Highly considering getting an IS350 as my daily in the near future. Your videos have helped me get an idea of what all it can do.
Oh man that looks fun. The R&R s/c quote I got from them scared me away though haha
In Jamaica we have started to turbo charge the toyota mark x, same platform as the IS250, we currently have a turbocharged 350 making over 500 whp.. and currently building a 1000whp making use of the automatic transmission,
can you document and make a video of it then tag me lol
What where is this and how much does it cost
The supercharge sounds nasty! 0-60 would be cool to see
Get a tomei pls 🤣🤙🏿
Hey Marty, car looks and sounds great! May I ask what size fuel pump Rafi installed? e.g. 390lph or 450lph?
Ain't the rr racing owner a racists...
Not sure what you’re referring to. Rafi is from Israel
My SC kit from RR Racing didn't come with the gauge pod so I have to figure that out. Any idea what brand you had? I'm not thrilled about the idea of drilling into my A pillar; might try some double sided tape or something
I have a 13 is350 awd and have stumbled upon your videos trying to make mine faster lol thanks for the motivation to go broke..I mean supercharged! Sick car man!
That is350 pulls sheeshhh
How much tq are the factory automatic transmission capable of holding?
Overall, how comfortable are you with the kit fit and finish? I am looking to supercharge my 2008 IS250. Your advice would be greatly appreciated!
Is this teh 3 liter v6
It’s 3.5L V6
This is the v6 version right? Or wrong?
Yes, F sport are V6
I missed glasses Marty.
LASIK is nice because I don’t have to wear them anymore 😊
Time for you to crash a F meet! :)
Im in NoVa this would be a good race with my Q50 if you are down ever!
Great continuance to the supercharger saga man. Stumbled on your videos cause I have the pretty much the same car/color/engine (21' IS350 FSport), and balls (or lack there of) is my "biggest" complaint on this car; as I'm coming from an F10 550i. I looked into RR Racing for extra goodies...but nothing is available for this car. I hope Rafi can get something going for the new 2021s...definitely looking forward to going back to a ~400ish HP car. Once again great videos man. Keep up the good work!
No point of voiding your warranty just yet, should've just waited for the is500 which will be less of a headache and more reliable for sure.
It takes a while to crack the ecus. Took nearly 10 years for people to crack the 2is ecu for tuning. It probably wont be that long but to be honest they just need a test car to figure out how to apply previous generation mods because the 350 are still using the same engine essentially since 2006 just minor differences
Please try and get a good run with a q50 redsport if there are any in your area & maybe some built kseries cars oh and I’m glad you finally have your car back
Nice whip bro! Was just wondering your wheel and tires specs and what tires you are running 🔥, looking to buy some
What kind of preparation would you do before supercharging a car? Anything specific to look out for?
Just make sure the engine has good compression and nothing is to worn out on the car
I got so many questions I’ve been watching u for a year and I’m finally about to get the car
Good morning, how do I take my car to your shop to install the turbo?
awesome video bro keep up the good work with your lexus
Is there a 250 one
Yes there's RR Racing Supercharger for IS250
God I love that single pop after doing a pull, can't to see some runs on that car
Sounds amazing Marty!
