Driving safely around cyclists

Rice University is dedicated to promoting safe cycling on and around campus and wants to help all road users share the road safely. The Rice Graduate Student Association, Student Association, and Cycling & Triathlon team created this video as a follow-up to their Bike Safety at Rice University video to educate motorists about simple and safe practices when sharing the road with cyclists.

The cyclist at 2:56 should have let the car on her left proceed through the intersection first, since the car had already been waiting at the stop sign. Safety is everyone's responsibility: cyclists and drivers alike. Ignoring the rules of the road as a driver makes all drivers look bad -- ditto for cyclists. (Note: I am both.)

if there is a cyclist in your way refusing to acknowledge you and staying in your way even if they can move out of the way, when you can't pass them due to oncoming traffic, is it then reasonable to honk?
