I love your videos and love these skirts. I have been looking for a good spring option and I normally stick to pants for my dolls, and I HAVE to try this. Also, how did you make Melody's top/where did you get it?

Sewing over pins has never caused problems for me, except with really thick fabric. Just telling you to save you some time :)

I add the elastic by leaving a gap on the area that has the slit seam...no need to create another opening, and nothing gets stuck =)

i have a question-what would you do if you don’t use elastic? could you just use a velcro back to keep it on her?

You could, but it would require you to change the seaming so it's cleaner. If you don't have elastic, you could try making the skirt without it and using ribbon or a strip of fabric as a belt!
