I am not Jewish, but whenever I listened (and still listen) to Rabbi Sacks, I felt at home. I was always amazed at the clarity and articulation of his challenging words. I still am. May G-d comfort all those whose lives are still affected by his passing, especially his widow and other members of his family.

As a believing Christian, I am so grateful for the divine influence Rabbi Sacks has had on my life. He’s opened my mind to the greatness of Judaism and the beauty of the Torah and Tanakh. Seems a most remarkable human being who had so many powerful abilities, interpersonal and intellectual alike, yet lived a life of human, compassion, respect, understanding, towards people of many faiths.
A mensch if there ever was one!

Last year in Jerusalem I wanted to be able to understand what the prayers were in English that were spoken, so I went to a bookshop and picked up a little green Siddur ..The Koren Shalem Siddur and I began to read the beautiful prayers and it helped me see the love for G-d the Jewish people have for their Maker. I came back to Australia and continued to read the prayers and apply some to my prayer time...it was only recently I discovered it was written by Rabbi Lord Jonathan Sacks and was surprised to find them the other day on You Tube while searching for truth...I loved the way he spoke and was going continue learning and listening...... So sad to hear he is gone just as I was getting to know who this man of G-d was......I thankyou Rabbi Sacks you have help me on my journey and I hope I get to thankyou you personally in the new Kingdom.

I shocked to read that Rabbi Sacks has passed away.
I have virtually no knowledge of Judaism, and the only 3 rabbi's that I have ever encountered in my 74 years, were not very pleasant in their demeanor towards me, but Rabbi Sacks, whom I had the privilege of meeting in a synagogue in North West London, quite some years ago now, was the kindest, most understanding and most holy man you could hope to meet in any one lifetime.
I had no idea,,that he had been ill or whatever, but I send my deepest sympathy to his family, and wish them long life, as jewish tradition goes.
I am so sad too for the entire jewish community. This is a massive loss for all of them, and it's a loss of a revered jewish world leader, who will be
    irreplaceable.
God bless his soul, and take him into his heavenly kingdom. 😪

According to our apostle paul’s ministry in The King James Bible,we are only saved by believing The Gospel of Jesus Christ,=1st Corinthians Chapter 15 verse 1-4.Jesus Christ died on the cross, spilled His Blood for all of our sins, was buried and rose again on the third day.Jesus Christ Spilled Blood is what saves you when you believe this plan of salvation with your heart.

Oh get lost with your self proclaimed apostle Paul who never met, sat, drank, ate with Jesus. Your god is Paul that is clear. Your comment is so very inappropriate. You should be ashamed of yourself!

    Genesis 19:24
"Then Yahweh [on earth in human form] rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yahweh [in spirit form in heaven] out of heaven. Genesis 19:24
Genesis chapters 18-19 is a powerful proof text for Trinitarians for these reasons:
First, is clearly shows Yahweh walking around on the earth in human form with two angels. They are called "three men". If Jehovah's Witnesses argue that they are called men, the fact remains that just as angels are not men, neither is God a man. Yahweh and the two angels are called men, because they appeared as men.
Second: God taking human appearance on earth is called a "Theophanies". There are several other examples of Theophanies in scripture.
Third, you have Genesis 19:24 that has two distinct Yahweh's: One on earth and one in heaven. "Then Yahweh [on earth in human form] rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yahweh [in spirit form in heaven] out of heaven. Genesis 19:24. Although the unanimous opinion of the apostolic Fathers was that this was Jesus talking to Abraham, such is a guess and not specifically known by scripture.
The unanimous opinion of the apostolic Fathers was that this was Jesus talking to Abraham, in Genesis 18. In this story, Abraham meets God (Jesus) and the two angels.
Jesus came right out and said He was the one who talked to Abraham. This is what Jesus meant when He said, "Your father Abraham rejoiced to see My day, and he saw it and was glad." (John 8:56) God appearing to Abraham is an example of a Theophanies. Elijah is also said to have seen Jesus in heaven in Isa 6 + John 12:41. Jesus appearing to Elijah is not be an example of a "Theophanies" because Jesus was seen in heaven.
For Unitarians, Gen 19:24 + Amos 4:11 is a like getting struck by lightening twice in the same place! Amazingly, Amos 4:10-11 has two Yahweh's just like Gen 19:24 when talking about the exact same event!: "Yet you have not returned to Me, [Father]" declares Yahweh [Father]. "I [Father] overthrew you, as God [Son] overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah, And you were like a firebrand snatched from a blaze; Yet you have not returned to Me [Father]" declares Yahweh [Father]." (Amos 4:10-11)
    B. These points are absolutely devastating to Jehovah's Witnesses, Unitarians and Christadelphians. They have no answers.
II. There are two Yahweh's in Gen 19:24
    A. "Then Yahweh [on earth in human form] rained on Sodom and Gomorrah brimstone and fire from Yahweh [in spirit form in heaven] out of heaven." Genesis 19:24
"Three men" (Gen 18:2) visit Abraham.
One of them is identified as Yahweh (18:13) talks to Abraham about the birth of Isaac and the destruction of Sodom.
Yahweh says he will go down in person to Sodom (18:20).
The two angels leave and Yahweh continues talking to Abraham. (18:22)
From this point on the two angels are never called Yahweh, only lord (adonai). The two angels are almost assaulted by the homosexuals and they leave the city with Lot (19:15)
Then same Yahweh who talked to Abraham in human form, commands that Sodom be destroyed while standing on earth and the second Yahweh in heaven sends fire and brimstone. (Genesis 19:24)
    B. There simply is no way to escape the clear context that there were two Yahweh's: One on earth that talked to Abraham and commanded Sodom be destroyed. And a second Yahweh in heaven who actually sent the fire.
III. God never uses US/WE/OUR when talking to angels:
Click to View"Let US make man in OUR image". (Gen 1:26)
    A. Anti-Trinitarians falsely argue that God was speaking to the angels in Gen 1:26.
    B. The very best example of God actually speaking to angels, is in Gen 18 where Yahweh and two angels visit Abraham.
Here is a case where God is consulting with two angels and does not use US. Three went down to do joint work, but God uses the singular "I" over and over again when actually talking to the two angels!
If ever there should be a precedent for US/WE/OUR including God and angels, this would be it. But Anti-Trinitarians are most disappointed that the singular "I" is used.
The power of this example proves the other US/WE/OUR do not include angels: "Then the [three] men rose up from there, and looked down toward Sodom; and Abraham was walking with them to send them off. Yahweh said, "Shall I [not we] hide from Abraham what I am about to do, " Genesis 18:16-17
    C. Anti-Trinitarians wish to God, that this passage used "us", because then they would have at least one precedent in scripture, where God spoke to angels and used US/WE/OUR.
Here’s a verse which makes difficult meaning unless Trinity is True.
“And the LORD said unto Satan, The LORD rebuke thee, O Satan; even the LORD that hath chosen Jerusalem rebuke thee: is not this a brand plucked out of the fire?” (Zechariah 3:2, KJV)
Please note that each of the Word translated as LORD in the above verse is YHWH. So, why would YHWH invoke His Own Name unless one of it refers to the Father while the other the Son? Deep thoughts.
Ravi: “Can I just say one thing to you sir? 5000 years ago on a mountain not far from here, a man called Abraham took his son up the mountain to offer him as an expression of his faith. You remember that story?” Sheikh: “Yes.” Ravi: “Let’s not argue about which son right now.” Ravi: “But he (Abraham) took his son up that mountain and as the knife is about to come down, God stops that arm, and He says, “Stop!”” Sheikh: “That’s right.” Ravi: “What did God say?” The sheikh just stared at Ravi. Ravi: “God said, “Stop, I, Myself, will provide.”” Sheikh: “That’s right.” Ravi: “Sheikh, here in Ramallah, very close to us is a hill. 2000 years ago, God kept that promise. This time, He took His own son up that hill, and this time the hammers did not stop. Sheikh, until you and I receive this son God has provided, we’ll be offering our own sons and daughters on the battlefields of this world for position, and land, and power, and prestige.”
Is there a New Testament Verse which says that Christ is Equal to the Father?
Yes, please consider: John 10:30, KJV “I and My Father are one.” - Lord Jesus Christ )
Proverbs 8:30-31 states: “Then I [Christ] was beside Him [Father-singular], as a master workman; and I was daily His delight, rejoicing always before Him, rejoicing in the world, His earth, and having my delight in the sons of men.” Isaiah 7:14: “Therefore the Lord himself will give you a sign: The virgin will be with child and will give birth to a son, and will call him Immanuel.” “Immanuel” literally means: “God with us.” See also Matthew 1:23; Jesus was “God with us.” Isaiah 9:6: “For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And He will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.” This was a statement coming from Isaiah, a monotheistic Jewish prophet -- especially calling a human being “Mighty God”; but one that God fulfilled centuries later in Christ. "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God... And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth." John 1:1, 14 And Thomas after placing his hands into the wounds of our Saviour. "My Lord and my God." John 20:28
