One of my favorite things in Fromsoft is the backgrounds because they tell the games' stories to perfection. There are even some continuity nods like Sif whimpering if you fight Manus before reaching them. And of course, Vendrick paving the path for you to free Drangleic at the cost of his life. The dying world that merged in Lothric, the stagnant painted world made by Ariandel and Friede...
He demands that people respect his right to criticize the game, but has no respect for anyone who disagrees with him, insulting them, degrading them, gaslighting them, turning his community against them, invalidating their opinions, and encouraging harassment against them because they don't share his opinion. He actually is playing on action focused and not story focused. Story focus only auto equips certain accessorizes anyway so it is not actually an easier difficulty if you unequip the items, and those items are also in action focused as well. DSP should be criticized for for the dumb things that he actually says and does and not things that are untrue.

Okay…I only read the novel version of Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within from my local library &…I don’t recall Magic or Crystals in the book…at all! All I remember is that if a Spirit touches someone, they die. And the Spirits Within was more of a Sci-Fi film rather than what we usually see in games. Also, I just started playing FFXVI and it’s awesome so far.
There is nothing to do with Magic or Crystals. It was literally set in a post apocalyptic version of Earth where the ghostly spirits had made most of the Earth uninhabitable except for dome cities, and the main character was out trying to find particular spirits. Also I don't remember anyone trying to claim that Spirits Within was supposed to be a tie in movie - the movie wasn't bad all in all. A bit cliche here and there and definitely not the greatest movie in any aspect by any means, but it also wasn't this "absolute disappointment to every single person" that DSP is claiming it is.

I used aero to pull targets in groups close and use Ramuh abilities to deal aoe lightening. So there are different ways to approach combat he just played it the most basic you could. This is okay but gets old, however.
His attention span for mature storytelling starts and ends at Bugsnax. Also he couldn't come up with a better puddingheaded argument past the played out "this isn't even Final Fantasy" that every idiot has been parroting.

Apparently Phil didn't see Spirits Within because I don't recall Crystals or Magic in that movie. "Harnessing power from the Earth like FF7 and...other things." So one example...also that's a weird simplification. Eikons were in FF14, summons typically are known under various names across the franchise like Espers, Summons, etc. While I haven't played FF16 it does look much like FF12 or Tactics. Also Yoshi P knows how to direct considering he saved FF14, which is more of a single player game Phil. You literally do the MSQ solo outside dungeons and trials. FF16 has it's flaws I'll absolutely give him that. FF16 has it's flaws I'll absolutely give him that. I personally find it a flawed but fantastic game where the positives outweighs the negatives a majority of the time and it's a great foundation if they make a FF16-2.
And Phil is entitled to his opinion. My problem is how he always makes himself sound like only his opinion matters and if you like the game you're just an ass kisser who doesn't know any better.
