My seven year old son has developed a love for this hymn! Thanks for posting a way he can participate!
Let thy merciful ears o lord mudd
Hymn number one in the Celebration Hymnal I grew up with. Brings back memories!
My little church uses the Celebration hymnal. Fully 1/3 of it is completely useless, but this is a great one. Number 1 is a deserved place for it.
great hymn and great modulation! I wish Baptist churches would do this hymn
It's in the Trinity Hymnal and in the Baptist Hymnal, I believe; but not sure which Baptist Hymnal.
VisitStPeters OH yeah it's in some Baptist hymnals, but they don't sing it.
Gregg Haley My Baptist Church used this hymn, thankfully.
It's in the Celebration Hymnal, which my Baptist church uses, but I tried to use it and got told no one would know it. :( I'm the music guy. I shall correct this deficiency eventually. :) This is a fabulous hymn, no question.
This is a lovely hymn tune. Music by Mark Andrews. Tune: Andrews. It apears in 'The Worshipping Church by Hope Pub. The hymnal of The Reformed Church. Yes, the altar party moves and functions with grace and dignity. The style of the playing is very much the style one would hear in most Reform churches...very close to the Anglican style in many ways. My hat's off to this music ministry!
Quite agreed. I am in a very different Christian denomination, and have Biblical reasons for being so, but nonetheless I feel that some of what these people captured here is largely missing in my denomination's conventions. I think that the sense of grace, dignity, and quality exemplified here should be present in all Christian traditions on the basis that God is Greatness, Grace, and Excellence, and we should worship Him with that guiding thought. As the hymn leader and some other assorted roles in my little church, I try to bring that into the worship experience.
