  • @Carnivore69
    @Carnivore69 Год назад +5

    How is live translate "legally" different from recording a call? Currently it's a complete pain to record call audio for both/all participants.
    If I'm wrong BTW, please link me to an Android app (or native settings) that makes this easy. And by "easy", I mean all calls get recorded automatically :)
    I assume (and I may be wrong) that there are laws that prevent call recording. And IF that's true, wouldn't it just be a matter of time before new laws catch up to this feature?
    This feels like a temporary loophole, but would be GREAT if not!
    Also, I don't understand why this (minus the camera) isn't a simple software update (for any Samsung phone) vs hardware. I can appreciate the AI on Device aspect, but question/doubt how much is actually ON the device. And even if it's 100% on device, shouldn't we have a choice in LLM provider?

      There is no such thing as privacy anymore. They already know everything about you. Nearly every device you come in contact with is recording every ounce of data it can squeeze out of you and everyone around you. Devices you don't even own are tracking everything you do. On the street. At your workplace. In your restaurant. In your home... if you're in range of any digital device, chances are it's collected your data and sold it many times over to numerous corporations and government agencies. There is no privacy for anyone save the lost tribes of South America and Africa. Even then, satellites overhead are tracking them as well.

    Google looks like it's getting further and further behind. Ok they're here in a collab with samsung but why is this search not on pixel devices? google have been jamming their neural processing chips in pixel for years now. And the search is getting worse not better... meanwhile they're missing out on all the questions being asked on chatgpt etc this is hugely important for learning how people want to use these things.
    I asked both bard and free chatgpt 3.5 to update my cv with my last job and emphasize relevant skills from previous jobs for that sort of area that I'm applying for now. Chatgpt did it straight away but bard just refused with the usual copy paste excuse-all. How is that not smack dab in the center of what an assistant should do? oh and they sent a warning a few days ago that you won't be able to turn lights on anymore....
    Next year these things better be able to file my tax return or they are missing out. If I understood that jargon I'd make a gpt myself that looks at screenshots of bank statements and you highlight business expenses and it plop out the answer myself. bet people would pay for that.
