Stephanie, dear, my first thought when I saw you peeking out from under SheRa was that you are so beautiful. But I understand, none of us want to be on camera when we're feeling our worst. I'm so sorry that you picked this up and have had to suffer for such a long time. I'm sure you know that we all love you and are sending waves, breakers, 🌊tsunamis of positive energy to help you back to health. ❤ ❤ ❤ Be wise and take all the time you need to get your strength back. You have a good team surrounding you, I hope they and your family are all staying well and healthy.

Everyone who had COVID reported the double whammy. The new variants are moving in different ways & causing different symptoms. You just have to give in & let your body rest. Hopefully, you will feel better soon but it could take time too. You have done so much for the kittens over the years. Time for you to look after you ❤️❤️
PS it’s your SATs that is important to watch (your O2 levels) and they look good.

Fortunately there is a cohort of resident kitties to take care of her now; it was good to see SheRa performing her nursing duties, though she needs to rethink sitting on the parient. Still, they are such a comfort.

I once had the flu and it took me a month to get better. What an ordeal. I hope you can be gentle with yourself as you recover. It takes a long time to build up the stamina to function normally again, but it will happen!

Make sure you eat good. Make sure your diet contains all the stuff your body needs. Calcium and Magnesium are very important. This will help your immune system to stay on level. If you have underlying issues like you said with your kidneys, at least get all your vitamins especially C. Drink a lot! Make sure you get enough rest. Otherwise there's not a lot you can do except listen to your doctor. I'm really sorry you had to go through this Stephanie. Hope you feel better soon!

Praying for you to get well.
Try to do everything the Doctors tell you.
I know because I’m getting over 3 serious infections myself. None Covid but it takes a while for your strength to build back up. I’m over the infections but I still have to take a nap because it wears me out just getting out of bed and getting things done. So take it easy and if you can get someone to help you. Take it. I have someone who comes 5 days a week. Anyway take care of yourself and I hope you feel better soon. 🥰

So sorry to hear how sick you've been !! If you need to, postpone the surgery until you're better, and don't feel you need to take on kittens or make videos until you're ready; take care of yourself first. Videos can wait. Hope you feel better soon !!

Hi Stephanie. So sorry you're struggling with this nasty virus. Praying for your speedy recovery. Please take care of yourself. 🙏🙏🙏. If you're not taking Vitamin D3 it's very important. Try at least 5000 IU. You can take up to 10,000 IU. You can alternate the doses. I was taking 10,000 fir 2 months, ever day. Now I take 5000 IU.

    Prayers with you, dear.
My friend had 20 weeks of long and she had to go to work! (She tests negative during long.) She had the two week Covid before that. She is now 'over' long but has chronic pain from it she has to live with. Only 200 days to retirement. If she doesn't go to work, she loses everything. She had the shots and the booster. Did you? Not me. And I have never stopped wearing the mask since March 2020 and I avoid crowds of people. Last time I went to the store was Nov 2020, I have everything delivered. I'm retired, I can do that.
Eric Clapton can't play guitar or touch anything hot or cold without gloves. He is furious. The doctors are not forthcoming on whether you qualify for shots. He didn't. I don't. But at some point, I will be banned from anything unless I do.
My friend's cat, Montana, died on the 27th. She climbed in her lap, looked in her face, tapped her hand twice with her paw and died.
I think you know I had a stroke in Dec and a heart attack in Jan. Not sure what I had last night...anxiety or another mild heart attack. Haven't been anywhere about it, no car. Right now my arm has stopped hurting, so I will see.
Is there any good news? I could use some.
God bless you, dear, the kitties need you!

Please, find a way to get checked out!! A neighbor, church, community service, charity, or other way to get a ride to medical attention. Or one of those car rides, like Uber. If it's concerning enough to mention, you have to see a doctor, especially with your recent medical history. Prayers for you! And for your friend. Such a sweet cat and heartbreaking story.

    • @missjoshemmett

@@patriciamorgan6545 Thank you. I waited it out and so far it is not bothering me now. I am pretty sure it was an anxiety attack as it came right after the visiting nurse left. She has her own concerns and they are not mine. I have a lot of things wrong with me and I know what I think are important and she blows them off and wants to see the doctors about lesser things. And I don't have access to all those things. It is not as easy at it sounds. You can get them, but most you have to wait months because of the back-up from Covid. I can't afford taxies, Uber and Lyft. They have really raised their prices as many have gone down to 3 or 4 cars or completely gone out of business. I am doing the best I can and am working on the things I think are important: feet, teeth, eyes...
God bless you for writing and praying for me, as those prayers really count!!!
BTW, I live under the poverty level in a small one room apartment (kitchenette and bathroom!) for 19 years. We are last in line for everything. However, I do have Medicare so that bumps me up the doctor visit list! Yay.

Sorry to hear you've been having such a rough go of it. Sounds like you might have had the Delta variant; it was really whupping people's butts. And then the "classic" COVID double whammy, where you think you're improving (because you are at last beginning to mount an immune response), but then develop worse secondary symptoms (cytokine storm, "ground glass" lung opacities from immune system in overdrive, and resulting pneumonia---too much, too late). Please start taking Vitamin D; among it's many benefits, it is also an immune modulator, boosting the immune syst when necessary, and damping it down if things start to get out of hand. (A lot of good scientific evidence has been coming out over the past year or so, specifically regarding COVID.)
I've been boosting my immune system nearly from the beginning of the pandemic with 5000 IU Vit D (Rx from my cardiologist), Vit K2 (keeps calcium where it's supposed to be in the body, not depositing elsewhere; important with larger doses of Vit D), Vit C, Zn (suppresses viral replication in the nose), quercetin (acts in various ways, essentially reduces chance of cytokine storm), and of course (since I have underlying conditions and was also undergoing cancer treatment at the time) got my initial vaccines and booster as soon as possible. I did get a breakthrough case of COVID after Christmas (3 months after my booster, so immunity was waning at the time), but it was very mild (probably Omicron), just a tiny, rare, throat-clearing "ahem!" and a really runny nose for a couple days, accompanied by loss of smell, (no fever, headache, or extra body aches beyond those already perennially present)....then about 8 or 9 days in, when I thought I was mending, bronchitis set in, which kept me out of work for a total of 3 weeks. I probably wouldn't be here if I hadn't taken all those immune precautions prior to getting sick.
And, I'm sorry to bear this news, but having gone through four surgeries over the past year and a half myself, I can tell you're in no shape to undergo major surgery next week. It would be prudent to reschedule again, when you're health improves, and your lungs can handle the anesthesia better. All my best for a full and speedy recovery, for everything you've got going on!!😘

Wise advice if it's a serious surgery, anything more than outpatient level. She'll need all her resources to deal with that. I also second all the good supplements; an alarming percentage of us are low on D.

That was Covid 19. Delta Covid (two shots and the booster) plus Long Haul is hitting people from 20-60. Omicron Covid is starting to hit mostly children. And there is a fifth Covid on the way. Your son better watch out for himself!
Oh, and Eric Clapton is suffering horribly and can't even play guitar any more, and HIS teenagers are talking like your son.
