I found it to be a fun episode. I loved the look and feel of the blood witch's trial. I think I finally have their names straightened out in my head. The show plays like a B movie. I did enjoy the 1970s rock version of _The Road._ Not knowing who Teen actually is and now the story behind Agatha and Rio has me hooked on the mystery. Leaves me waiting for the next episode.
I’m gonna be honest from reports saying this is the least expensive Disney + marvel show. Which also means it’s way less than Star Wars it looks good. Yeha can it look goofy sure but it has a lot of style. The acolyte coated hundreds of millions and doesn’t have an ounce of this shows style. Money doesn’t get everything
I’m loving this show so much and haven’t enjoyed an mcu show this much since moonknight. It’s not perfect but is a fun easy watch first thing in the morning for me (UK). Also I kept my expectations in check with this of it being campy, musical with element of supernatural stuff and so far it’s not disappointed me. What I will say and no-one has pointed this out Pattie LaPone outshines them all and is amazing in this show
I loved the action and live show elements that seemed like an actual concert event. The captions are always on for me, so I didn't miss anything. I'm also an AV engineer, so this musical number made me enjoy it much more than the first one.
Speaking of mystery, I just finished Silo season 1 last night! (I believe Naboo was the one recommending it in some videos) As a non-book reader who knows nothing I am definitely looking forward to season 2 next month!
Its kinda odd to say that a mainly women lead cast isn't for men viewers. Most mcu films and shows have majority male casts but women make close to 40%-50% of the audience. Men like women so idk why a majority women cast would somehow inherently not have men as a demographic. The Marvels had a majority male audience to go see it on its opening despite being a mainly women cast
My biggest issue with Agatha is this... This is another notch on the belt of the magic side of the Marvel universe being taken as a joke when in the comics it is actually pretty serious and macabre stuff. The MCU has made magic users into comedians instead of forces to be reckoned with.
None of these people have any real powers. Where’s the joke? They’re actively batteling curses. The last real magic users they encountered they fled from because they knew they stood no chance
@@Thed538dhsk It still has the MCU brand of comedy, look at Werewolf by Night and compare it to wandavision, Agatha and even Dr Strange 2. The world of the magic or monster was taken seriously in those things. Sure, they ran away from something they couldn't handle. Okay, that doesn't mean there haven't been other jokey bits in there.
@@slyc5920 lots of stuff has jokey bits it obviously just doesn’t mesh with you and that’s alright. Maybe blade will be more in your taste if they ever make it.
Despite really enjoying Wandavision, I feel so burned by Marvel lately that I don't feel like wasting any more time on the hope of it being worth it. I may reconsider when it's all out though.
As a star wars fan, why are so people so upset with musical numbers? I thought people liked the cantina musical number in return of the jedi prior to the special editions
I think the episode was pretty good, I guess. I feel like nothing really dramatic happened, or nothing that especially hooked me. However, it is good enough for plot development, and it did reintroduce Aubry Plaza, so yeah.
I'm glad Naboo likes the show. Unfortunately, like Thor, I'm not the target audience at all. I only watch the series casually so I don't miss anything important in the cosmos of the MCU. I hope that another series and film will come out soon that will rekindle the Marvel hype for everyone.
i mean prior of this year there has been x-men 97 and Deadpool and wolverine and those two did rekindle hype specially 97 for me personally, this show is niche (not a bad thing)
This Episode 4 was a "bridge episode"... The '70s aesthetic is best experienced from movies from the '70s, like Saturday Night Fever. I thought that the kid was going to die. Oh well. I could take or leave this show.
I still have no idea why you keep calling Rio Blackheart. I guess it's a meta thing, like IMDB, cause she looks nothing like the Blackheart character from the comics and there was no mention whatsoever of him in the show so far.
I'm probably not the target audience either but even so I'm really enjoying it.
Soundtrack has been fantastic so far! I wonder how many different versions of the Ballad we're gonna get!

It’s 9 episodes the last two coming out on the 30th

I don't believe Rio is Blackheart. I think it's either a) Death or b) Morgan LaFey. Just my opinion though. And the teen is Billy Maximof.
