Thanks a lot for this very helpful clear tutorial sir..now i understand the functions of that entrip1 and 2,and that en0 pins. It helps me alot in my laptop repair job. I am repairing a laptop motherboard down to component level, but honestly i don't understand how that chip pins function. That's why i don't know how to check if it is working correctly or not. All i am doing is if the Always voltage is no present then i will directly replace the chip. Now you made it clear to me to check first those important pins before deciding to replace the chip or not..thank you so much sir. Appreciate your effert in discussing it in english so that we understand you more clearly. After watching this vedio i subscribe to your channel immediately.
Thanks alot for the video. My question is those calculations, how did you get to know that the amp of the resistor is 10 micro amp?. Where was written on a schematic?
Maybe in theory, but I took measure directly from laptop. Try to set voltage nearly greater 1.26v u will see different outputs. I tried, tested. Slightly increase voltage on that pin cousing more voltage output. Best regards !
Hello laptex group. Please sir I would like to ask sir. I RECIEVED DELL LAPTOP 8TH GEN. PROBLEM.Auto ON/OFF I CHECK IT .ITS VCCST AND VCCSTG DUAL REGULATOR IC.ON VCCST OUTput 0.46v and VCCSTG 1.05V. THEN I INJECTED 1.05V ON VCCST OUTPUT .THEN MOTHERBOARD POWERED ON. BUT SOME FEW SECONDS .VOLTAGE OUTPUT ON VCCST STARTED TO DROPPING DOWN . PLEASE SIR WHAT BRINGS VOLTAGE DROP FOWN
sir i got acer aspire one happy 2 minilaptop. the power jack is broken i want to connect directly the a.c adapter to the motherboard. where should i connect the positive terminal and the ground by soldering since the laptop is to work without battery. plz help me
iam checking compaq presario cq50 & there is no 5 and 3v & found no volatge on EN0 & getting beep there. Now does it mean i have to replace ic??please help
There could be various reasons for the same fault... Can't tell without diagnosing... There could be SIO fault, keyboard connector or some auxiliary component being faulty.👍👍
Why do you put stupid music into your first piece of your videos? it's an stupid idea just to pretend be like tv... besides it's an horrible music. hi laptex, nice teaching and to details but one question, does all laptop motherboard super chip function the same?
Thanks. Not at all but functional pins are Always same else use as GPIO, if required in Motherboard it used or left floating.
Thanks a lot sir..

Thank you Laptex for teaching us great Video is the PGood signel comes out after 3V & 5V ALWS supply ?
THANKS BRO FOR COMPLIMENT. OFF COERCE PGOOD WILL COME OUT AT LAST
Thanks alot for the video. My question is those calculations, how did you get to know that the amp of the resistor is 10 micro amp?. Where was written on a schematic?
That's from internal logic of the IC.
1.27v on ENC pin is greater then 1.26v and enough to trigger voltage, but output of both voltages will be less 3.3 and 5v.
Not exactly...the threshold should be reached only then 3v 5v voltage will be available.
Maybe in theory, but I took measure directly from laptop. Try to set voltage nearly greater 1.26v u will see different outputs. I tried, tested. Slightly increase voltage on that pin cousing more voltage output. Best regards !
thanks

sir do you think PL23 is input??? , i think the rt8223 is controlling pq26 and pq21 as a buck converter
Yes offcourse

Another question is; what is a best site to obtain the good schematic diagrams with more detaila as your using?.
Some are free and some are paid data👍
What value is DS=CB ic....equivalent ic???????
You can search and find out using the datasheet 👍

Try to check the output voltage and input requirements on DSO you will get the timing of the fall in the DSO screen.

There are two possibilities...either SIO could be faulty or standby IC is faulty.. you can isolate the two sections and then check which is faulty 👍👍

There could be SIO fault, keyboard connector or some auxiliary component being faulty.👍👍
What about 3v and 5v mosfet gate voltage missing all the other requirements are ok
As already mentioned brother... It's Just a demo class. All the internal yand concepts are explained in our detailed course.
