My fave version is still the original. It's my first time to here this version of it. My fave Mic Drop performance is when they performed it on an award show n its back to back with Cypher 3..i'm not sure.. it was so satisfying to watch that it somehow reach some haters in the audience.

This version doesn't change much like you said but the Designer's part needs to grow on you, after a couple of listens it's ok. Still better than "On" with Sia.

It’s a “no” for me too… it just gives me the feel that those parts are phoned in rather than being true collabs. I get same vibe with the Minaj and Meg “collabs.” Their verses may stand well on their own but when inserted into BTS songs, they feel awkward and unnecessary.

I honestly feel kind of meh about most feature artists on BTS tracks.
I totally get why features are done and it helps get more radio play (stupid but true) so I do get it. But honestly the majority of the features I've listened to once or twice and gone straight back to the original. Make it right is another one where I honestly fast forward lauv's part if I'm watching the video, it's nothing against the artists I'm sure their own catalogue is great but the features haven't been much to really fall in love with.
Only exception is mic drop remix by aoki and I dont think that really counts as a feature. Even boy with luv I prefer the live versions where on occasion jimin has just sung halseys little chorus parts. Halsey is probably one of the few were I don't mind the feature but I still listen to the original with slightly less parts and I absolutely prefer the lives as mentioned.
But, I generally prefer lives for BTS, something about studio vocal processing removes some of the intricacies of their voices sometimes and I honestly can't think of a song where the CD version outdid a live of theirs. But they are great live performers so eh maybe not that surprising.
I don't think it has to be this way though re features. I think as I've seen others say, if featured artists took it more seriously and really shone out on their feature maybe I wouldn't feel like that.
Like for a random example, Eminem never gives anything less for his features than he does for his own albums. Maybe he even goes harder on his features because he wants to make a great song and show out in it. Just frustrating in a way cause I always want to love the features and I just don't.
I don't hate this version, just love the Aoki remix a lot. Your reactions are always worth a watch, thank you 💜

i really loved this, but I just like Desiigner in general. Sope's verse was better imo but it's still cool, definitely one of the better features of BTS

I think all mic drop versions are really good, this one as well. My favourite is still the version with steve aoki the full lenght edition

(Just my opinion) I don't think this one needed to be longer. He's already done the OG & the Steve Aoki Remix versions, and Desiigner's verse isn't exactly that deep, ykwim?
well, personally, i think there's nothing wrong if he react to different versions. let him do what he want. also, i said that i miss his long videos because these past few days, he's posting videos with a maximum of 4 minutes- there's nothing wrong with that tho.
This song and this version was the very first encounter i ever had with BTS. But I didn't dig deeper into them because I was so closed minded and "only listened to music i can understand the words of". Present me is so mad at the past me for this :D

I mean... RM had to give something for Jhope and Suga to do in this song. It is very cool they work so well together to give everyone time on the mic.

I HATED what that guy "added" to the song but I loved SOPE rapping RMs part. The original is better and should not have been messed with in my opinion
I prefer the original coz i love Suga’s lines in that version.

Not ruined at all. The original is the best but this one is still great. Would've been better if they kept JHope/Suga's part in and left RM's part alone though
In my opinion designer's part was too long. Should ve stopped before Apple sauce. I hear him but I don't know what he is talking about and the flow was repetitive for too long.
I found myself missing the original rappers. But i learnt why all 3 BTS rappers are potent. They really add flavour to the track.
I hope anthony made a video of him hyping to bts songs.. it would be BARS

Oh good goshness....the lyrics are not comparable to the existing....rhyming yes but for rhyming sake it seemed to me. Tried to not be negative and support this artist but stay clear of BTS until there is more effort made. I would not be a fan of rap as a whole or BTS rap line if this intro was presented. The impact was remedied after though keeping most of it.... Smart. Forgiven.
I don't like this version because I love J Hope and Suga's part in the beginning. I can't get behind this version. I tried. Suga and J Hopes verses all mean something, because they are talking their story. while rhyming in much more intricate flow. Am I wrong? The only thing that actually saves it a little is Suga and J Hope on RM's verse. Sorry, I'm biased for BTS Rap Line and this song is like a BTS anthem. I agree with you on the adding another verse for Designer. That might have changed my mind on liking it.
I didn’t know this existed and I thought it was fake at first.
I will just say that is pretty good but I just don't like the transition to the pre chorus they could have blended it better but it is alright I really don't have really a fave. But I don't know how this was done like the recording. It just feels in some way weird but I got used to it I am just saying what i heard when I first listened to it like 2018 when I got into BTS and KPOP

also, this is the only version of Mic Drop that play's at work, and I never know what Desiigner says...so it's kinda neat looking at the lyrics to see what his verse was....
