So great!! Free is always awesome 😉 Mausritter looks so cool. I definitely wanna try that one. One that I've always loved (and my personal favorite OSR game) is Labyrinth Lord. I think the pdf is like.. $10 on drivethrurpg. But if you look for the version with no art, that one is free.
Oh awesome, I didn’t know there was a free version of Labyrinth Lord out there, great recommendation. I know that’s the retroclone of choice for a few people I respect
Mausritter is awesome! I got to run the adventure in the free version for some family members visiting from across the country who never played DnD, and now they started their own group! It's so fast and flexible, and the GM toolkit in the free rules are life-changing :D
Great Video. I am look forward to check the games out when i have the time for it. I played a laiser and Feelings hack called magical pet in which the players are pets of students in a magical school. A great game for new players and almost everyone is familiar with the setting.
You failed to mention "Basic Fantasy RPG" which is completely free. Print versions are sold at cost. Its pretty much what would have happened if 3.0 D&D was presented as the "Advanced" version and had to have its own simplified version akin to "Basic" ie "B/X". That would have been Basic Fantasy RPG. It's d20 centric compared to Labyrinth Lord and uses an ascending armor class.
