An offer sheet between Montreal and carolina, name a more iconic duo, ill wait 😂😂
Tbh no. We need bigger players. Yes 5’10 isn’t super small but we need guys over 6’1. We need size AND skill
I think we have size and skill, Jarvis would fit in nicely
@@Parksice13 we don’t really have enough size for the playoffs. On offense, yes we have Slaf and Dach, but who else is really over 6’1?
@@HabsNation809 I don’t think we need to much size, as long as our smaller guys don’t get hurt we’re good. Plus Hage is 6’1 if he pans out and demidov is 6’0 which is big enough
You don't say no to a player like Jarvis. You obviously haven't watch him play much. He plays bigger than 5'10". Plus he has zero quit in him. Sounds a lot like the Habs coach doesn't it.
I couldn't agree more! We need sized skill not more small skill I hope Huges remains patient the right player or opportunity will come along.
I'd laugh it off and be happy with it if Hughes did it, but i don't think he will as he keeps saying building without sacrificing the future you make a huge sacrifice (in future drafts) to get a single player
I could see it to keep the fued going... but honestly, I think Karma bit the Canes in the backside witha the last one. I think MTL won that battle.
Too bad because the Canes didn’t even start it. Karma should have gone after the Habs
@@CarolinaBuckrush Why's that? Montreal didn't even offer Aho that much. Remember it was Aho that actually signed that deal because your owner was being dumb and stingy. He was just butthurt that he actually had to pay a player what he was worth.
@@joshs.9036 no they offered him almost $8.5 million for a 22 player when the cap was lower that is a lot. Also the Canes try and negotiate paying to the lowest possible to sign other players. The Canes owner also signed Aho to a contract over $9 million not long ago. Orlov got overpaid and the Canes are willing to pay it’s just they are smart about their money. Canes knew they were going to match an offer for Aho because they wanted him and before Necas filed for arbitration they made it clear they would match. Dundon at times is cheap but he’s smart too.
Habs also went after the Canes who didn’t even do anything besides pick up a great player. In the end the Habs were the ones doing something scummy and wrong so if there was karma it would have gone after the Habs since they were the ones in the wrong.
@@joshs.9036 $8.5 million is a lot and that’s what the Habs offered Aho. Dundon is smart and would like to negotiate the contracts to be as low as possible to sign as much skill as possible and have depth. Habs were the ones who went after the Canes who didn’t do anything to warrant an offer sheet thus if karma was a thing it would have bit the Habs in the backside for going after a team that wasn’t doing anything to them.
@@CarolinaBuckrushhow’s that kotka contract so far ?
Jarvis isn't signing an OS unles it's > 9 million for many years
Buddy said Necas doesn't deserve a graph but then says how almost every team has made an offer to the Canes to get Necas. They all know Necas is being used wrong in Carolina. He should be at center. Same with Jarvis honestly. Both Jarvis and Necas were drafted in the first round as centers. You don't get drafted in the first round as centers if you can't play center. However the Canes will sign Jarvis and match any offer sheet. As a Canes fan I wouldn't mind if the Habs spead things up. Inside scoup says both Necas and Jarvis will stay in Carolina.
Necas isn't good at faceoffs in the NHL
He's only 40%
@@ScottStenlund that can be worked on.
I don't see Hughes make an offer sheet that would any kind of sens. On top of that, the Canes would match it UNLESS the Habs go 7M+/7 years....and I don't that happening
according to this guy the habs are odder sheeting half the league lol
Fantastic... What is an odder sheet?
Montreal has 10 mil. in cap space but they must sign 5 players. Oh and did you know according to legorocks99 every player that is any good is going to Montreal.
....... What the hell is with Carolina and, Montreal and the offer sheet drama's 😂
habs need to lock in their core long term before they offersheet anyone imo.
I'd give him an offer sheet of 6 years at 6.9-7 million, not more than 6 year though.
Canes would just match it
@@CarolinaBuckrush Likely, but one can hope, I think they wouldn't if we offered more years but I don't like 7+ years contracts generally, only if we're talking guys proven to have scored 50 goals or 100 points after 5 years or less in the NHL. For goalies, they have to have had multiple 40+ win seasons and % equal or above 910 to even think signing for that long. Jarvis' good but hasn't reached such a level yet.
@@severed111 I think the Canes want Jarvis long terms. Habs aren’t going to be able to get him because the Canes will match.
Bro what 💀
Offer 6'5 million. He will be making better numbers than Newhook. Plus I think Carolina is still butt hurting with the last 2 deals with the Canadians, especially with the KK deal since Carolina thought they'd get one up on Montreal lol.
I doubt the Canes wouldn’t match and Montreal would ruin trade relationships again.
Jarvis not only scored 67 points in 81 games, he also played on the first PP unit, AND on the PK (RBA doesn’t play anyone he doesn’t trust on the PK)
Plus, the fact that he’s always healthy and never misses games, this is a $7M+ player very easily.
@@Section83490 I know hence why I think the Canes would match. Also it’s not a good look to be offer sheeting. I mean Habs also have new youth coming up so by setting the precedent I’m sure teams won’t mind offer sheeting Habs players. Habs would also further ruin trade relationships.
Not gonna happen. The situation in Montreal is very different from the days when Bergevin signed Aho to an offersheet. Our 1st round pick is much more valuable than it was back then (Habs aren't making the playoffs, even if they added Jarvis), our roster is FULL of young players who will be offersheet illigible in the next couple of years, and as talented as Seth Jarvis is, at 5'10 and 175 lbs, he doesn't fit the profile for what Kent Hughes is trying to add to the team. Quinton Byfield would...Moritz Seider could too. Jarvis, not a chance. And I doubt Kent Hughes would go the offersheet at this point of the rebuild anyway.
No. Jarvy is staying.
As a Habs fan .. No Offer Sheets. No UFAs.
We have enough contracts. We need to look at trades.
More over, defense for offense.
Should offer sheet Swayman, either to solidify our goaltending or just to put the screws to the Bruins 😂😂😂
😂 do it Kent
Folklore
Habs don't need another smurf.
No thank you
