you prolly dont care but if you guys are stoned like me during the covid times you can watch pretty much all of the new movies and series on Instaflixxer. I've been watching with my girlfriend these days :)
J'aime bien une pâtisserie. I like a pastry. J'achèterais une pâtisserie dans une pâtisserie. I would buy a pastry in a bakery. pâtisserie -- one word, two English meanings
Merci beaucoup, Alicia! Always enjoy! I have a question. In one of the examples, you said “Elle aimerait le comprendre”. But according to lesson 5 (Pronoms), I thought the sentence would be “Elle le aimerait comprendre”. Can I understand it is because of le conditionnel present that makes the structure different?
Bonjour. First of all, please forgive this very late answer! Seems that this comment "escaped" me, sorry about that. Good question. It's not really a matter of tense here, but more what is the pronoun linked to in this sentence? Il l'aimerait : would mean he would like/love him which is not what we mean. "She would like" is a part of the sentence on its own / the second part is that ( she would like ) le comprendre : to understand HIM. To make it short, the pronoun is attached to the verb it refers to but totally get your confusion here. Did that somehow help a bit ? :D
Merci beaucoup Alicia!
