    I would highly recommend people looking in to if they have Vitamin D issues. Some people struggle to metabolise Vitamin D, and the effects of this in the body is endless, from being susceptible to parasites, yeast infections, inflammation, mental issues, also the repair and degrading of damaged cells in the body. It doesn't get mentioned enough and it is a major, major issue. A lot of health issues lead back to Vitamin D and a lot of 'experts' don't even mention it. On this video mental health is mentioned a lot, a lot of people with Vitamin D metabolism issues have mental health issues. It's a massive issue which is massively overlooked.
    Tinnitus can be improved by relaxing the nervous system and improving mental state, but it seems like a lot of the time it stems from physical issues, such as teeth, neck, parasite and yeast infections, noise trauma, blood pressure, inflammation, nerve etc etc. Stress is a big factor, but there are a hell of a lot of stressful or anxious people in the world who do not have tinnitus.

    My advice as a long-term tinnitus experiencer -
    #1 - avoid ototoxic medication where possible: ask googles Gemini if something is ototoxic and if there is an alternative.
    #2 - noise: be weary of sudden loud noises and if suspect there is going to be sudden loud noise then push the tragus part of ear in to block ears. And if an event has warning for loud noise such as theatre then sit at the back and maybe use foam ear plugs.
    #3 - earwax: go to an ENT and get a manual ear extraction and every time I have done this the tinnitus has settled right down. Avoid microsuction as it is too loud near eardrum and avoid doing it yourself as it is possible to push wax onto the eardrum or get an ear infection which can both make tinnitus worse.
    #4 - background noise: I use an mp3 player with a speaker and play 9000 hertz white noise on repeat for sleeping and also have a fan on during the day (I use EasyAcc mini which has a consistent sound unlike many I’ve tried)
    #5 - general life knowledge: sleep, diet, toxin avoidance, stress management, meditation, exercise, etc.
    I have had multiple spikes but doing these things the tinnitus has settled down over time to a non-sharp or intrusive background noise which I don't really notice unless I am in silence and even then it is not bothersome (in my experience it takes to settle down from hours to a couple of weeks for noise exposure, and longest was around four months for ototoxic medication exposure and I had to adopt a strict routine to manage this and listened to a lot of Bear Grylls’ content about digging in and having grit and not giving up and overcoming etc. which helped a lot).

Daily distractions help but waking up at night and getting back to sleep are the worst even with fans and background maskers. Very long journey for most.

    “Habituation” - an interesting part of the discussion. I remember a few years ago hearing that term - most likely in Julians’ videos, wondering if I’ll ever obtain whatever it is, but I’ve not thought about it much for a long time. I’m wondering if I have reached it given today as an example. I’ve not registered any tinnitus symptoms today until I just stopped to watch this and just doing that has made me more conscious of my usual high pitched tinnitus symptom when I get it. However, I know I have some diy / decorating to do shortly and I think I’ll be able to concentrate on that and it’ll dissipate. It seems like when I do get the symptoms nowadays I just don’t panic and it’ll be gone or much reduced pretty quickly. It’s not gone but it rarely impacts me. (At first, years ago, I had persistent ringing and even significantly distorted hearing in certain environments and I thought I’d never hear clearly again).

    I have had tinitus for nearly 9 months, I suspect mine is caused by a combination of poor posture and tmj. I usually have 2 or 3 days a week where I have have silence but it always comes back, I have however noticed the last 6 weeks or so that it has improved where I don't seem to have 2 consecutive bad days in a row sonic I have a bad day I know the next day will be silent or very low where it doesn't bother me so I'm sure I'm on the right path. I get fortnightly craniosacral therapy for 30 mins each session is this enough or would you suggest more frequently and is there anything else I can do ? I had severe hearing loss after the second covid vaccination and am still deaf. This gave me bad hydrops or inflammation in my right ear. I am still much deafer as a result of this, and I had bad hyperacusis and tinnitus for three months. I felt like my head was in a steel drum and so driving was really hard with the loud reverberation in my head. So I just got back on the bandwagon and did 1.5 hours of practice per day and had at least one craniosacral therapy session per week, often had reflexology and had to work hard for a time but I eventually got back to quiet again. So this was the third round of tinnitus in my own life. I found that my clients that had tinnitus from the vaccination made slow progress but have gradually got better over time. Settling the nervous system, shifting the focus and having support to release and let go eventually wins through again....

    What are suggestions/alternatives to bodywork when you can’t afford to do it every week as suggested in Julian’s book? Where I live in the United States, it is approximately $120 for a 60 minute massage. Other types of bodywork are similarly priced. I am trying to get a massage once a month which is all I can afford. There are do it yourself CST videos in the useful techniques section on my app where you can do cranial work yourself on each other. Hope this helps. • @JulianCowanHill
      @JulianCowanHill  Месяц назад +2

      Often there can be a reaction after the first session. Think of this as a release and change in your nervous system which can often cause tinnitus to flare up. But this is also a sign that the CST is working. Keep going. The reactivity should settle down the more you do treatment. You have probably built up a head of steam and the therapy has caused a big release.

    Hello, I would like to share important information. Start testing for parasites. They very often cause tinnitus. They can lodge in the brain, nervous system, ears and the rest of the body. Moreover, they are very often found in the intestines, which are very innervated and connected directly to the brain. This is clearly a problem for me. Once I started treating the intestinal infection, the tinnitus began to decrease (from 7-8/10 to 2-3/10). I have a lot of parasites and I'm just starting the removal process. Don't do stool tests (they are ineffective) but blood tests (antibodies). Doctors have no knowledge about parasites. It really could be a breakthrough discovery for you (as it was for me).

      When I first suffered (and had a GP say… oh tinnitus - you can’t do anything), I later found Julian’s videos including one of a simple exercise that really helped - to start with toes, maybe tense them, wriggle them, become ultra conscious of how their feel, then move to other parts of feet, then legs and on through the whole body. Best to find that video or similar, but I realised just how fixated and hyper sensitive with my ears I’d become. It didn’t fix things straight away but along with understanding the amygdala and fight / flight responses I knew there was a route to follow and things became majorly better over time. This being centred thing… I think I can grasp the meaning from those previous more easily understandable concepts, but I will dig into it more now as it sounds a good advancement of helpful practices available to me.
