    Hi Stacy! If you don't want the bubble column to not flood out, try breaking the soul sand and placing it one block lower, so there's a one-block hole that the water can flood into. If it still doesn't work, try removing the water and replacing it. I hope that makes sense! I've made bubble columns before and it works for me. (I'm like two minutes in, so if you fixed it by the end of the video, sorry!)

    • @Periodnetta

    • @JPTLN
      @JPTLN Месяц назад +3

      That won't work since the bubble column is all source blocks and sources always flow outwards as well as down unless they're blocked in

    • @kaitiemarie9572
      @kaitiemarie9572 Месяц назад +4

      This won't work. IN order for there to be a bubble column all the water must be source blocks. What you are describing only works if the water is flowing. Which would mean the bubbles wouldn't work.

    Deep dark: you qre safe on wool or stealthing when you arrive. It only becomes dangerous after setting off three shrieks in a row from the shrieker blocks. They react to moving, opening chests, placing blocks and removing them. Wool mutes you. Wrap it around shriekers, around chests, around sensors, and walk on it. There is grey wool in places at the city to help you

    Hi Stacy! I usually never comment on your videos but I just wanted to say that I really loved and appreciated the "life talk" you gave about cars/credit cards/college etc. It feels so nice to hear some advice from someone who has experienced the weird emerging adulthood stage of life. I am turning 20 this summer in August but you have been such a special part of my life growing up. I have been such a fan since Dogcraft, Mineclash, Diversity with Tiff, The Far Lands, and The Long Dark just to name a few. I spent a part of my childhood in Germany too but grew up more in upstate NY and just moved back home after trying Florida out for college for two years- which was interesting. Watching this series has felt so wholesome and loving, like listening to an old friend or older sibling (that I never had as being the oldest sibling myself) calm me down and keep me grounded. Especially when this series started I was still in spring semester, working full time, and having the stress of car repairs and a credit card balance to deal with all by myself and felt really alone. I will forever be grateful for your stacyisms and big words (which I would like to point out helped me get one question away from a perfect SAT english score) and the light and entertainment you brought to my childhood. You are so loved and don't ever forget that! Have a great summer Stace! - Devon

    The reason you can't figure the bubble column thing out is because you don't understand the state of the water:
    1. Water source blocks always flow out to the side if possible. Water flows that originate from a source block will fall down immediately when possible, they wont travel to the side if they don't have to. The main purpose of all water is to flow down 1 block at a time, and water flows flowing out of a source block will pick the shortest route to do so.
    2. The entire bubble column is filled with source blocks top-to-bottom so each and every layer of water will flow out to at least 1 side if possible. (Bubble column are created by stacking water source blocks on top of the soul sand, NOT by letting water flow down from 1 source high above) (Putting kelp in water flows transforms the water flow into source blocks, that's why you added the kelp)
    3. The entrance to a bubble elevator must be blocked off with fence gates, trapdoors, doors, etc. because the moment those water sources by the entrance are removed the bubble column loses its function, as the chain of stacked water sources is disrupted.

    29:36 you should stop using the mending sword for now. It’s absorbing all your XP. Plus it’s a weak sword, and gold tools have 33 durability. Mending is good, but it’s way more useful in the late game.

    You don't really find flechters, you create them. Go to the village with a Fletching Table(4 plank and two flint) and just put it down. The flechter often just takes sticks, so it's an easy source for emeralds. And you can only get sniffer eggs from warm ocean ruins.

    Tips for the Deep Dark and Warden: Wardens are spawned the fourth time the player triggers a shrieker (a whiteish block) by a skulk sensor. Skulk sensors and skulk are not dangerous on their own, only if they trigger a nearby shreiker. If you carefully destroy or surround a shreiker with wool (which does not make sound when placed) it can make it safe. Have fun!!

    Suggestion for later on, when you have the time and materials. Instead of a water block at the bottom of the drop, put a Bucket of Powdered Snow in the space where the water is, and place a wool carpet on top. This will completely cancel the damage from your fall, and is a bit more safe than a single water block at the bottom. I learned and have used this before from a survival Realm I shared with my friends. Was shocked that it actually worked.
    However, if you're planning to use a water elevator using a Magma Block instead (to go down/the opposite of the soul sand elevator) then that works too, and would probably fit better with the other elevator to be matching blocks or design with the trapdoors you had to use.
    Loving this series so far! I love how much you're learning and experiencing the game Minecraft is now.

    1. Its a lot harder excavating suspicious gravel than sand. Its very hard to find. ESPECIALLY in ocean ruins in the ground. Its hard to stay down there but the magma blocks down there,sometimes right next to the ocean ruins can help you breathe and stay down there for longer!
    2. You probably can't bring down multiple buckets of milk, but if you do wake up a warden, it makes you blind in the cave so be careful.
    3. Before this, have you ever seen an axolotl or the frogs in Minecraft? i have tried it out and the frog can jump over your head. they jump super high just like the goats.

    Hey Stacy! I have a question: if money, laws, safety, and animal conservation weren’t an issue, what animal would you like to keep as a pet? Mine would be a Siberian Tiger or a Timber Wolf ^^

    Thank you so much for answering my question Stacy!! It's been my dream to have a comment be in one of your videos since a kid so this episode in particular was super exciting for me. Sorry for the deep dive my comment took the video into, but on a lighter note: Are there any types of foreign food you have tried and you liked/disliked? If so, what are they and what are you looking forward to trying in the future?

    On the car front, I have a friend who pays $700 a month for her car. I have a 2007 $900 car bought in full from a junk yard. My dad fixed it up. Haven’t had an issue on it in 3 years. Her car has had more issues in 2024 alone. Thousands of dollars worth of work goes into her car. I loveee my junker. I’d rather have a car with no payments and no issues than apple car play or something lol

    Stacy, the truth is, my week is horrible, in fact, my WHOLE LIFE right now it horrible. I am having really bad friend problems and the only thing the ever makes me happy is you, I'm not gonna get into details about my friend problem, but ill just say my BFF for 7 years went behind my back and lied to me and now someone else is taking her away from me and I'm just a friendless mess, you are pretty much the only way I can be happy so tysm for that, I know we aren't friends and all, but to me u feel like my only one♥and I feel safe enough sharing this with you and everyone else, because U, Stacy, and everyone else are my only way to be happy so tysm everyone :)
    so thats how my week has been :( ...
