I am just an ordinary 46 year old Irish mum trying my best to live life after my separation and my 2 girls move out of home.

You just came up . I lost my beautiful Irish born mom last year totally agree you need to be OKAY to look after both yourself and others . I personally think women from Irish background are resilient and very strong . Wishing you every happiness xx

I went through the same thing last year. I’ve been working full time and helping my dad. In 2022 my mom passed away and my dad moved into a retirement community. He left all the house stuff to me. Getting rid of 50 years of stuff. I had no time for myself and didn’t take any. I finally decided to take me time. We are the only ones that can set boundaries and prioritize ourselves. I’m so glad you’re doing it. ❤

Well done Orla! Prioritise yourself! I find that difficult too but I also realise I have to make myself happy. Which I was brought up to feel is selfish but it's not.

I really enjoyed this blog..it brought back memories of my own separation and eventual divorce over 20 yrs ago...you are a strong independent woman and you will get thru this...there is always light at the end of the tunnel....at this stage of my life I have never been happier...so keep going your doin brilliant ❤

If never have known you were facing all that. As you do so much for others im glad you are going to start putting yourself first, and im happy you have a friend who is helping you out. Isnt it sad that our society and upbringings make us feel guilty for saying no to people now and again, but hey ho we are learning all the time and things are changing for the better 🎉x

Brillant Orla your plan is a great you are strong and sure you will get through what ever comes so yes deal with then dont let it steal your peace now. I had hard divorce and picking myself and my children up from the aftermath was challenging put as a unit we all got so much stronger and our bond is unbreakable. As women we are always so focussed on caring for others we neglect ourselves completely we musttake time breaks and engulge for ourselves from time to time to feed our own souls new hobbies are great for that. I am so pleased at how well you are prepared you can handle all of it. Get sleep I dont know if CBD is legal in Ireland but it is wonderful to help with sleep safe nature and stops all the mind chatter so you can just sleep. I don’t know who own the house but I tell him if he wanted a divorce that I would get the house
Orla, look after yourself, your number one you have to remember that if you don’t take care of yourself no one else will, get your sofa do your room how you want it, and let your ex to jog on with the divorce, if he wants it let him pay for it!! Bastard!! Keep your vlogs going take care x
