It’s definitely Nate not his Dad most people tend to think that it’s his Dad so you’re not alone in thinking that. I’m assuming the woman behind him at the end is suppose to portray his wife. When he’s looking at himself in the casket to me it symbolizes that he left himself down and didn’t reach his potential because the voices in his head controlled him as he was growing up. He felt he let himself down because he couldn’t get it together mentally. That’s atleast how I take it. You’re getting very close to The Search now I know you are going by the list you were given but I and I believe many others would love if you did the whole album. I believe The Search deserves an entire song by song breakdown. If you really wanna know what he went through and has been through then the entire album is a must. Thanks so much Dev Lethal I appreciate you and your reactions. Have a blessed day my guy!
I kinda assumed it had to be Nate after seeing the ending. The REAL tattoo kinda gave it away but also confused me and brought a whole bunch of new questions with it.
@@DevLethal Chris is spitting facts on all accounts. The song is a self reflection of Nate not feeling like he’s done, or is doing, enough to reach his full potential because he can’t overcome the negative /self doubt thoughts and emotions that consume his mind (“Mansion”). I feel like that’s the curse of a great artist and why so many people relate with Nate. He brings us into his mindset and shares what most people relate to, or have related to at some point in their own lives. Also, to Chris’s point, The Search album in it’s entirety is worth a listen… he brings things full circle in some songs (referencing stuff he talked about on his first album), and takes you deeper into understanding why he raps about what he does… you also get some flexing, and talk shit…. Which, for me are least, was dope to experience because it’s almost as if he’s allowing himself to be finally be put into the category with some of these bigger names (where I think he belongs anyway)… The Search in my opinion is like the birth of NF…. He doesn’t hold any punches and you can witness the elevations not just in his mind state, but also his skill with the mic….. enjoy the journey, love your reactions!
Its a double meaning his parents werent there for him and hes looking back on his younger self saying he let himself down. Its old nf remembering all the times he felt like he was drowing, on fire but could never help himself. He left it open so everyone could relate to it whether you have let yourself down or your parents have let you down. Gotta love NF
The whole time I was laughing cause you were completely convinced that it was NF’s dad. I was like wait til the last second, and sure enough - perfect reaction!
This is the first song I ever heard from NF. I caught the chorus before getting it of the car. The lyrics stuck with me so much that I googled the song. Then I dove into his catalogue. I've been a fan ever since! That high pitched voice is also NF
That's NF remembering his past and regrets for what he didn't try to change when he and his parent's had a falling out because of a relationship they were basically making him choose between them or her, and he just left and they just wanted him around regardless if he was happy or not, and that is why it's saying like you weren't there for me when i was drowning and my life crashed and went up in flames i was just looked down on telling me i need to do better like i didn't already know, even after dropping everything to help and be there when i was needed and the sibling wasn't, "To continue giving more only to receive less"! Then him in the coffin was the person he was and finally let go of past but it being to late.
The song has a double meaning. It's about him not only disappointing his dad but also himself. The symbolism of the video is that all NF was wanting was his father's approval. And it brought him down that no matter how hard he tried, it wasn't enough for his dad. When NF is drowning and in the car on fire, it's symbolism for how his dad can save him by just saying something like "I'm proud" but his dad still didn't see it. This is why his dad had a blank face the whole video. And in the end, when he opened the casket to see NF, he was totally surprised and kind of realized it. That he pushed him over the edge. That him not being proud of his son, he ended up dying. and when he opened the casket he kind of realizes that he could've saved his son but it's too late. and that's why his dad reactede the way he did while opening the casket. And at the end when the woman shouts "Nathan", it also symbollises that he not only let down his father, but he also let down himself. And how he spend his whole life trying to be good enough for himself and still coming short.
Great reaction, as always. So happy to watch your success. No doubt you'll see that 100k, just like the song..:) Long time fan of NF. This song sings like its his father, but the video is Nate, looking back on his struggles that he went through, not being able to change what happened, and feeling bad for that, Like in the song Nate, when he's talking to his 6 yr old self, not wanting to feel bad for him because then he'd feel bad for himself, and we just don't deserve that. Been watching you since the beginning of your journey. Think you had maybe 400 subs at the time. Nf brought me here, always love to watch people discover him for the first time. Your personality has kept me watching. Keep doin what you do, hope all great things for ya. Keep on with those great NF reactions..:)
Thanks for the continued support! Been enjoying this NF journey, it’s insane to think I never heard of him before this year but I’m glad I finally found him. This song was tough to understand at first, glad I have y’all to help me.
I watched the official video 3 times before I caught it, my son confirmed for me last year... it is supposed to be NF when he is older. A lot of reactors I have watched didn't catch it at first either. Great reaction and love your energy and excitement when things hit you!
I've listened to this song dozens of times and watch several reactors evaluate it. When it came across my feed at first I was just going to let it go and then I saw it was your reaction and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. You're one of my faves thanks
I Havent read any of the comments so im not sure if this was mentioned but the high pitch voice was NF as well. He used the Little Alterboy Plugin. Lastly, I have to say man, you have some quality ears and an impressive understanding of this journey youre on.
I can’t wait until you get to Prideful from clouds the mixtape, one of my all times 🤧 Also, you have to react to Only by NF. Such a deep song and so good
Great reaction yo! But ya missed one of the hardest hitting bars of the 1st verse... "very loyal, shoulda had my back, but you put a knife into mine, my hands are full, what else should I carry for you?"
basically the old guy is NF, He wrote the song because as a kid he felt like his voice was never heard and he was letting himself down by trying to talk. He also thought he was letting everyone else down that was around him.
Lol I always say his albums are like marvel movies 🎥 Yeah that was Nate. He said this song can have more than one meaning but he did that to mean that it was older him speaking to younger him saying sorry I let you down.
He’s kind of parental neglect that the song was about is generational. If you’re not careful, you will end up providing the same kind of damage that was provided to you.

@@DevLethal yeah just when you think you have Nathan figured out he will throw you a curve like that. Great reaction though!

Is that why he says "thats parents for you"
The video shows that it's Nate, but the lyrics are clearly about his dad. At least the way I see it.

That high pitched voice is also NF
It's even crazier that this is one of NF's only songs that's played on the radio.
The sample is NF with his voice pitched up
I’ve been told, sounds amazing!
The intro is NF with a high pitch effect on :)
goosebumps & serious 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love his reaction at the end. Priceless
Man NF posted a teaser on Instagram the other day of a new singing track and I instantly thought of you haha. Love to hear Nate's voice.
Love when Nathan starts singing!
I think it’s his dad at first, Him at the end. It’s about repeating family cycles and they’re apologizing to each other.
How I interpret it, of course.
Love when NF singing ❤️
you should react to NF - Nate. This music tells a little bit of his life, deeeeep feelings

I like this idea! Him letting himself down has been brought up a few times in the comments.
this probably the very first song i heard of NF!!! and as usual nf don't disappoint!! 😭 fire reaction tooo let's gooo 🔥
I always thought this song was about him moving on to mainstream music instead of how him and his brother used to do everything together.
I very much feel like it’s old him, talking to younger him 🙌🏻
I can see that!
Or maybe he sees himself becoming like his father but idk
Great reaction, as always. So happy to watch your success. No doubt you'll see that 100k, just like the song..:)

OHHH, I have been looking forward to you getting to this one!

"Let you down was triple platinum. Ok I guess." from WHY by NF
I've listened to this song dozens of times and watch several reactors evaluate it. When it came across my feed at first I was just going to let it go and then I saw it was your reaction and I wouldn't have missed it for the world. You're one of my faves thanks
People have filled you it. It’s Nate. Always great reactions! My favorite reactor currently 😎
Love these video man. Keep up the grind ❤️
🤯🤯 🔥🔥💯💯 Reaction NFrealmusic 💯💯...
I Havent read any of the comments so im not sure if this was mentioned but the high pitch voice was NF as well. He used the Little Alterboy Plugin.
Lastly, I have to say man, you have some quality ears and an impressive understanding of this journey youre on.
He says I know you're gonna call tomorrow, like nothings wrong.
The song is a 2 way story. It applies to his father as well as him at the same time.
I like this song ... It's deep, and a masterpiece 🎧
I can’t wait until you get to Prideful from clouds the mixtape, one of my all times 🤧
Also, you have to react to Only by NF. Such a deep song and so good
Remember This by NF, trust me you won't regret it
This song is about his parents and it's his most viewed video also the girl singing is him on a different tone(love your vids)
Great reaction yo! But ya missed one of the hardest hitting bars of the 1st verse... "very loyal, shoulda had my back, but you put a knife into mine, my hands are full, what else should I carry for you?"
You should check out
“you’re special” by NF
Please can u keep adding them to the NF playlist? 🙌🏻👍🏻
Love the channel brotha
Love you bro bro!
All love bro. You got that infectious energy bro
I feel like this is his call out about his fears of becoming a Dad, and repeating the same mistakes with his children.
I’ve seen this video plenty of times and never caught that last “Nathan”
Crazy
basically the old guy is NF, He wrote the song because as a kid he felt like his voice was never heard and he was letting himself down by trying to talk. He also thought he was letting everyone else down that was around him.
please look at no name and my life great reaction man
The single is nate but with his vocals pitched.
Hes talking about his dad and about letting himself down ...yes its old Nate
Great video bro!...unless ur going in order do paid my dues next, it's fire
Yea he's pretty much talking to himself with this song. It's like Nate is telling this to a mirror. Nothing to do with his Dad
It’s him telling himself that he sorry he let himself down
Lol I always say his albums are like marvel movies 🎥
Yeah that was Nate. He said this song can have more than one meaning but he did that to mean that it was older him speaking to younger him saying sorry I let you down.
he doesn't say call mom, he says call tomorrow
Thanks for clarification!
Nate... Or I miss the days please next
Nf audio sounds a bit weird. Great video tho!
He couldn't make himself proud. The old man is older NATE
At the end, that is NF and the woman is I assume his wife
🤟🏽🇺🇸
Where's the reaction to "Intro III"?🤜🤛
It definitely is Nate, and there are theories that the women at the end is his wife when they are older
Yo Dev, the audio of the song is a little messed up, not sure if you knew this or not but just letting you know if you read this
You need to do the song “NATE” his best song
GooseBumps
Here‘s an interview ruclips.net/video/G_H5mBvcUAE/видео.html where Nate explain the song Let you down 😉 I love your reactions ❤️
Listen to NF why
He’s kind of parental neglect that the song was about is generational. If you’re not careful, you will end up providing the same kind of damage that was provided to you.
Definitely not a sample.
Learned this after the fact. Apparently it’s actually NF. Makes it 100% better!
