- In the Chedema village of Nagaland, we got to see an evolved democratic practice of the elections known as the common platform. Coupled with my experience and observations of the same, I spoke to locals about the issues that they will vote on in the elections.

The people and politicians sitting in North India should learn from this state. Look how peacefully they conducted their event, cleaned the area afterwards, no shouting like uneducated debate panelists and anchors on almost every stupid TV channel every night.
It's not like you don't see the nightmare behind the scenes, you choose to ignore it. Even the idea of the church organizing the debate under its watchful eye sounds good to you.

i have spent 14 years of my initial years in Nagaland [Dimapur} and can surely say that Nagas are honest and humble people, i have had many friends there some of hom are still in touch, currently i am 31 years and miss those old days in Nagaland. i wish one day i will go back to this state.

I think this is a very matured way of an Electoral debate, much similar to the US presidential Debate....the rest of India should learn and try to adopt this process. This is the best form of democracy, leaders should be put together and make them debate and justify. People should ask for justification from their leaders. Your leaders should be able to explain logically and rationally the issues. Then you will realise how educated they are and how much they are just playing with your brain.

By the way, I think at that point he was speaking Nagamese, some pidgin form of Assamese that's why we could understand. Well I completly understood him. Man I live in Assam and I always thought other NE states speaking Assamese is just our state propaganda.😂 This video cleared it up. Also met someone from Arunachal a few months ago and he said Assamese is understood... (I'm bengali btw)
