I remember watching her interview and she was talking about this song. She said that this song was written for her family and close friends, nothing to do with "boyfriend".
Team Ayaka all the way on this one. No one sings this one like her. I wished they would market her worldwide as they do with Charice. If Charice can take audiences all over the world, Ayaka with her voice, could do just as well and more.

true. that is why you shouldn't compare either... both artists have different styles in singing, i am pretty sure the writer who translated the song did his/her best to relay the "feelings" if not the literal translation of each lyric word. I also think that any artist would try to "interpret" and make the best out of a what he/she is given, especially if the song is as artistic as this one.

of course nothing beats the original, that is why "versions" exist... and of course ayaka perfected this song. i am also sure that ruining a song is NOT any artists intentions when they do versions/covers [Charice] for this matter. "Ruin" is a big word, you know...

As far as I know Ayaka was supposed to stop temporarily in singing, because she got sick of "grave disease" (tyroid problem) and that planned was in 2009. There are only few updated activities and news which is hard to find regarding Ayaka since then. I´m not sure is she is still taking a rest in singing, but her song "Mikazuki" was reported to be turned to a drama by Tokyo Broadcasting System.
