Like your content and the guidance you offer. I can see the value you offer customers in the small details. Glad you shared experience with cheap and lying customers, so many out there. Same ones who will try to leverage more for less or threaten to leave a bad review. Great thing is crazy is easy to spot in reiews and can be quickly dismissed. The reason I don't want to deal will lazy, cheap, or crazy customers or limit it as much as possible.
It’s definitely harder to find that “fine line” when there are so many other companies that are lowballing the market. C’mon scoopers, stop driving down the market! You’re worth more than that!
I agree, hopefully with enough education in time, everybody will start raising the bar. You just keep providing excellent service, set yourself apart and create a wonderful experience for these people to wear. They’re willing to invest in your brand.
As a percentage how do you increase the rates if multiple dogs?…as a percentage increase how do you increase for larger 1/2-1 acre yards?…..thank you!!
So I been searching and searching for something I can do in my area and this is it! I already got the tool ready and going to head out this weekend and see what happens. I might of missed it but what if they have more than 1 dog do you tack on another 10, 20 bucks? Thank you for making these videos!!!
I’m working to begin mine.. starting this week. Just wanted to make sure I started confident 100% into my pricing and understanding why clients are paying what they are paying. No hate at all, but $100 monthly? I had no idea people would pay that much for having their yard serviced from poop. I think I’m gonna start off $40 a month, I’m not sure how people will take a brand new business starter pricing so high.
Pay yourself for your gas, materials, wear and tear on your vehicle and your labor. Look at the prices of your competitors and maybe charge $5 a month less than them if you feel worried about price. Watch Alex Hormozi on pricing. He will help you understand paying yourself better than I can
How many companies/competitors in your immediate area or town would you consider to be over saturated. Is there a threshold that you would consider not starting or does that not even matter?
We have a lot of companies in our area, but the only way I would not consider starting a company is if I went through all the competitors reviews and did not see one negative review. If any of them have negative reviews, there is room for growth within the area and that is where I would focus my attention.
When quoting a customer, do you recommend giving them a weekly price or monthly? i.e. “once a week for $20 per week” or “once a week for $87 per month” [20x52/12]. Thank you so much!
I’ve been pricing them for the month because I don’t want them to think in price for weekly because from my experience the customers I with the lower rates even if it’s just what the monthly would be but shown the weekly rate they give me the hardest time. But definitely tested out and see what works best for you.
Dont price monthly , because one month you might do four cleans but another you will need to do five and wont get any extra pay.... its always better to charge either weekly or every four weeks
@@vivdoolan6846 I love that you brought this up. We have factor that into our pricing. Say we want to charge $20 a week . This is how we do monthly pricing based off $20 a week. $20x52=$1040 $1040/12= $87 So we would charge a customer $87 a month.
Weekly, biweekly or more only. Probably not making money on monthly. Sounds like cheap customers wanting to take advantage of someone. I catered to these types in the begining when i ran my lawn service in college. Some would say you get the opportunity to show them the value you represent to these customers. My experience is they are just lazy people looking for free or near free labor. How they maintain their house, car, yard etc. will give you clues. Let the poop pile up and their dogs track it all over their house, couch, bed, etc.

What about pricing for each additional dog?
Go up $10-$15 per dog per month.

You're worth more than $10 an hour.
Pay yourself for your gas, materials, wear and tear on your vehicle and your labor. Look at the prices of your competitors and maybe charge $5 a month less than them if you feel worried about price.

Does the $20 per month for commercial accounts include installing the stations or just servicing?
Great question, that’s just servicing. An install is around $450 per station

We have factor that into our pricing.
Say we want to charge $20 a week .
This is how we do monthly pricing based off $20 a week.
$20x52=$1040
$1040/12= $87
So we would charge a customer $87 a month.
