100 miles south of San Francisco is the town of Prunedale. While missing a giant prune on a water tower, they do have a large sign announcing "Prunedale: Just A Regular Town."
That bit about parenting may be the best thing I've seen in this show, I have loved red green for years (always woke up early for school so I could watch an episode at 6 before leaving) and so much of that entire conversation about parenting just seems like it comes from a real place, like it actually happened. I know I can relate to some of those comments, but all in all, sometimes parents are right, but most of the time, parents are just as human and fallable as the rest of us. Sending love to anyone who has trouble with their parental figures. I'm pulling for ya, we're all in this together
When he talks about taping a show and not having time to watch it then getting DVDs well when I was a kid, we used to tape the Red Green Show and now I’m watching them on RUclips. Kinda funny
Yep --- you don't need to read books or go to college to learn how to be a guy --- just watch da Red Green Show! :P P.S. This clip was one of my all-time favorites from da entire series! :D
been watching red green since the beginning ...1990...watch at least once a year on youtube...watch several episodes everyday . that said , and knowing #300....i would have done it a little different at the end ...of the wedding ....all the guests would have been the supporting characters of the show . now that would have been a great send off .
I have to wonder how they film the fishing segment. There is never any trace of a wake from a camera boat circling Red's boat or any sign of a crane (or other support) on the banks and they seem to get at least very close to a full circle (although it is interrupted). My only guess would have to be a drone of some kind.
I think their boat is stationary in the center of the pond while the boat with the camera crew just goes really slow. The camera zooms in quite a bit, and very rarely does the camera make a full circuit around them before cutting to the next shot.
@@Dark_Mishra - I've seen at least once that they did about 2/3 or 3/4 of the way around the boat and even the slowest moving boat makes a wake. That water is dead calm and yes their boat is stationary, even to the point that it may be fixed to a post underwater. As I said the pond is dead calm, not even a ripple from the movement in their boat (not that they move around much). If it is a second boat they would have to wait quite a while until the ripples die down for the next shot, I think the dead calm water is part of the joke that life moves at a slower quieter pace around the lodge. Lastly a mid-range drone capable of mounting a small TV quality camera is a lot cheaper that it used to be, probably under $1,000.
@@Dark_Mishra - I hadn't even thought of a fake pond. If the pond is fake (glass?) then they could dolly a standard TV camera around without disturbing anything. My only concern with the fake pond theory is the expense. A piece of glass that big is the stuff of NASA budgets and Red Green was a low budget show. (Steve Smith mentioned several times that he asked for enough money to make a TV show but not so much that they care what it is.) It could be something other than glass but I can't think what off of hand.
Bob Lamb Yeah, it’s surprising how much they were capable of on such a limited budget. The glass idea does sound logical. Maybe it’s a very wide shallow pool or something.
isaac Dyer, that is a Ford Granada. Had one. 1975. 302 C.I. V-8. Mercury had the Monarch (corporate twin) and Lincoln made a copy called the Versailles. They were good cars (for the time, anyway), fast (enough), comfy and quiet. The Granada, Monarch and Versailles were styled after the Mercedes Benz of the era, and were popular with car buyers who liked the German cars, but couldn't afford one. They had 'The Look'. Even the color-keyed hub caps on the FOMOCO trio resembled the hub caps found on the Mercedes to the 'T'. The Granada picked up the unfortunate nick name, 'Grenade'. Like to have one now! Happy new year!
Red green have been entertaining since I first saw the show and it seems that my friends and acquaintances are getting younger than my siblings and children because it seems that many of the the latest friends and acquaintances who missed out on Steve Smith got the idea that reality TV is simultaneously true enough to be offensive and yet entertaining enough to continue watching for more than one episode of whatever continuously CONjoined CONvoluted and CONfused faux comedy pseudo drama soap tragedy is being peddled as of possibly authentic care and concern about snookered vague and ambiguous generalized negativity with additionally individualised put downs that equate to Nothing
For years, then and now,
so relevant and funny.
Timeless.
Im starting to hit my middle ages and im starting to realise how much truth these guys talk about
*RIGHT?!?!* I Hear ya!
Lol

Prunedale? Isn’t where all the old people go? To the bathroom? Open 24-6! Well, one day for servicing!
Lol❤😮😊

Watched this show as a kid and now as I am getting older and in my middle ages, it just keeps on getting funnier and funnier.
When he talks about taping a show and not having time to watch it then getting DVDs well when I was a kid, we used to tape the Red Green Show and now I’m watching them on RUclips. Kinda funny
Over the years I've learned so many life lessons from this show! Its awesome! Also one of the funniest shows!
I remember growing up watching this and it’s so funny watching this as an adult now , cuz of all the jokes.

"Ementing me fectally". Had to chuckle at that one.
Try saying that three times fast, then wondering why you are doing this.
We need some more Green Red for the next generation to enjoy!
the exchanges betwee Harold/red are hilarious ....very sharp writing
Have always loved this show. Makes you shake your head, laugh, and smile at the same time.
So I’m 21 and I’ve never heard of this show. I feel like I’ve missed something my whole life. This is hilarious and oddly insightful.
I just figured out why I haven’t heard of it before. I’m not Canadian.
@@jacko3021 It actually was shown in America in some places. Mostly on PBS but how far it penetrated per region was variable.
@jacko3021:
I first heard of this show (and watched it), a long time ago.
Where ya been hidin'?!?!
I aspire to be like this man when I'm old.
The red green show is absolutely classic.
"The suck stops here", Winston is priceless
✋ I'm a man; I can change; if I have to, I guess✋ I miss this show☹ " keep your stick on the ice"
"If the women don't find you handsome, they should at least find you handy"- Red Green
"If it's good enough for an F-18, it's good enough for an F-O-R-D."
Red is a genious, I just opened the window and stuck my arm out...
I grew up on this show! I love it!
Yeah, I grew up with it too! Love it still.
" 5:15 ...and we live where they stuck it" 😂
Red Green & Super Dave Osborne, 2 of my favourite funniest along with Benny Hill. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
The lodge is ground zero ... anything that goes into the air anywhere near it comes down on it. The roof must have a huge hole in it :)
holes plural :)
Love that show, let you all know that I live in Indiana USA ❤

I remember watching the show years ago it was the best ever I miss it so I get to watch it on cell phone it's funny as thing you ever did see♥️👍😃💯👌✌😎
The fishing scene was oddly deep.
that is just because they were at the center of the pond
They all are, it’s men being men without the pressure of other men holding them back
This show does have its moments of that.
Think ill go spend time with the kids......i can stream red green on there tv too 😀
Poor mike
Dalton:gimme five red:who's your daddy? mike:I have no idea
Nice pfp
LOL @ the VCR tape fishing reel..
thats awesome.. I miss this show.
I love when Red wrecks an Aires K car. I love the water heater elevator too! I'd even pay his life insurance for Bernice!
Looking forward to seeing you Red in Sioux Falls this month!
Now I know who sold Ricky that beater car.
Oh how I have missed this show!
I love this show!!!
so miss this show while living in the southern US
I miss watching in the 1990's while living in FL. Only had 6 channels of broadcast TV. Those were the days.
@@probuilder961 I'm watching this in Florida now.👍
Pro Builder only six? Makes me glad to have had 12 channels...
They now have a new "biggest" thing: The biggest supply of popcorn.
Loved that show 👏 😅the ❤
The world's biggest popcorn cooker :)
That's a lot of popcorn. Must be a long movie. 😄
Well, Red proved that he was a "real genius" with all that popcorn!
Explosions are actually a major concern in grain silos/bins.
Now, if I can find some duct tape!!!!!!!!! I'm ready to go!!! 😂😂😂!!!!
That vcr fishin got me in tears
lol "Sucking Services" "The suck stops here." (12:20)
too bad they couldn't say "the shit stops here" but that wouldn't be very Canadian to say that on TV.

I can remember this when I was a kid. Back in the 80s Made my dad laugh ! I think he may have shit him self at one time or another
I would love to start a show like this.
Bill and Mike playing squash! LMFAO!!
Game actually ended when Mike stole the ball.
Too funny. One might spend hours just watching and remembering these great times. Why did Canada take this out of production is my
thought.
Tipledan Steve Smith chose to end it and has kept it alive online and in person ever since
15 years was a long run.
You really can change the world if you care enough.
I envy Bernice😊
LOL 14:47 I just knew he was wearing one! Red: "That's just wrong."
16:25 Balls in shorts lol
"Something she gets everything from"
"A divorce"
Lol
It almost looks like Ricky's car, even has a Nova Scotia plate instead of an Ontario one.
When Bill pulled that squash out of his pants.. Blech! And that bra.. that was so wrong! But it was extremely funny!
I'am a LUMBER, Jack and I'm oh gay... I work all night and I sleep all day,...
i swear, you guys are brilliant!
I wonder what the test strength of 1/2" magnetic tape is.
@Zachary Peterson That works, too. Test weight/strength is the terminology you often hear with ropes or cordage.
His face looked like he didn't get the 1st scene on the first take lol
instead of the world's largest crayons, they made the world's largest popcorn popper!
Best Red Green ever. And I'm from the Hammer.
The 30-second word game took over a minute this time.

Glad you like it. It originally aired in Canada between 1990 and 2005, with many episodes airing on some PBS stations as well.

did they ever stop filming new ones?
Wonder if this Granada is Bill's too?
Shaving cream head rap lol

Good show Red
Red Green screen is powerful.
😂So humurous!
I never realized how scripted this show was when I was a kid. Like that word guessing game is painful to watch lol
If you liked this you should check out his movie "duct tape forever"
Dalton is funny, but he's also the most depressing character in the show.
I think I'll try the cassette tape clock.
An interesting style of car that was. What brand of ford was that anyhow? LTD?

More of a how to life series

Yeah, they stopped after episode 300ish I think
They actually stopped at 300 episodes exactly. Doing that many in fifteen seasons is pretty good.
Racket ball and squash is it the same thing?????
