Your tarp setup is brilliant. So many people use the standard A frame shape which gives them so little space under it. I guess you're using a large tarp but this makes such a huge difference in a wet environment where rain is expected.
this reminds me of looking for cow fields here in florida usa, to go find mushrooms lol.... some of the most thrilling things ive ever done is sneaking into huge 100 acre cow fields and walking all up in it finding mushrooms, or sneaking into cow fiels across the road near my house at night using a full moon to find the biggest cubesnsis ive ever seen

Subscribed great stuff. Water treatment works can be good places, especially if they have old disused filter beds, which are usually overgrown. Electricity sub stations are pretty good too, usually have waste ground bordering them. Quieter too.
I also have the DD 3x3 Tarp and wanted something smaller and bought REDCAMP 240x210cm (Amazon), it's listed as a ground sheet (grey in colour) but it's a Tarp by any other name. I'm been using it for a year now diagonally over my 2.9m hammock and it works just fine. Loving your working and I think you have started a new camping craze, keep up excellent work..

Great camp mate. Another cool setup with the tarp and hammock. Never tried camping in a hammock only a tent. Food looked good and that looked like a nice tucked away spot. Camo seemed to blend nicely. Doubt you would have been spotted with the setup.

It's good to see you have updated your camo game. That will be good for bolder and safer spots. When under trees, don't forget to look for dead branches ('widowakers") above that might fall, especially with a hammock that might move the trees around.

I love that you always have an identifiable landmark in the video, makes the exact roundabout very easy to find on Googlemaps - which I always do. Are you not worried someone might use that against you in the future though to prove trespassing or whatever? Still loving the content. I'm actually nearby in Southampton. Good luck finding a suitable roundabout here! I think you'd be better off in the New Forest or the Lords Wood.

Dude, that front line hammock is double layered. Means you can put your mat inbetween the layers so you don't lose it while you sleep. Great camp btw. Slept on a roundabout just outside of Bister yrs ago on a cycle up to North Wales. New sub from me. Look forward to your next outing. top roundabout meal to 👍

Hi mate great video the food looked fantastic. I just picked up the snugpak stasha tarp its 9x5 and packs away to the size of a can of beer I would recommend it for a smaller tarp only thing is they don't do it in camo. Congrats on the message from steve Willis, Keep up the good work mate 👍

Its interesting how so many "stealth" campers use hammocks. A hammock is so unstealthy as its so far off the ground. Its just impossible to hide. Of course you can try to blend into your surroundings but when its so big and way off the ground its pretty much impossible. I guess its tempting to use the hammock when you're around trees though. And if the trees are dense then it offers some protection if people are a ways away. But if you're on the ground and do it well someone could almost walk over you and not notice anything. THAT's stealth. Being stealthy is so much safer as well. If someone doesn't see you there they won't bother you. Another huge advantage to being low to the ground or in a sort of trench or dip in the ground is its much quieter! Just put your ear to the ground and you'll see its much quieter whenever you're near city noise. What's really needed is stealth camping guides near airport hubs for those dreaded layovers! Local bus to a wooded area, then how to blend into the surroundings. And how to deal with bugs in that area if you're in the south.
When stealth camping red is a “giveaway” colour. You should change up your tarp tie downs to a brown or green. Enjoyed your overnighter. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.

Might sound odd, but I'd add some secauters to your kit. They're great for just trimming back some of the brush around your living space and doesn't make noise in comparison to other ways. I'm going to subscribe. New viewer.

Hah! Epic cooking set. Bulky, but epic. Reminds me a bit of those brilliant ol' picnic hampers, you just need a china plate and shampers glass. :D Don't give up on that idea but maybe minimalise it as much as you can (sachets for salt and pepper for example).

In terms of stealth I was more worried that your camo had like deep dark jungle colours rather than the light spring colours leaves have in UK right now.. :p I think I remember our TA clothes to be brighter green camo than that for sure.

I think the Chuck Box is a great idea ! I have one for small base camp, stove and propane, pot and pan, utensils, dry goods.

Of course you can try to blend into your surroundings but when its so big and way off the ground its pretty much impossible. I guess its tempting to use the hammock when you're around trees though. And if the trees are dense then it offers some protection if people are a ways away. But if you're on the ground and do it well someone could almost walk over you and not notice anything. THAT's stealth. Being stealthy is so much safer as well. If someone doesn't see you there they won't bother you.
Another huge advantage to being low to the ground or in a sort of trench or dip in the ground is its much quieter! Just put your ear to the ground and you'll see its much quieter whenever you're near city noise.
What's really needed is stealth camping guides near airport hubs for those dreaded layovers! Local bus to a wooded area, then how to blend into the surroundings. And how to deal with bugs in that area if you're in the south.
When stealth camping red is a “giveaway” colour. You should change up your tarp tie downs to a brown or green. Enjoyed your overnighter. Thanks for sharing. Take care and stay safe.

Might sound odd, but I'd add some secauters to your kit. They're great for just trimming back some of the brush around your living space and doesn't make noise in comparison to other ways.

Hah! Epic cooking set. Bulky, but epic. Reminds me a bit of those brilliant ol' picnic hampers, you just need a china plate and shampers glass. :D Don't give up on that idea but maybe minimalise it as much as you can (sachets for salt and pepper for example).
Actually it's not even that bulky, seems just right for what you need and makes a great little table. Nice one.
A woven hamper is not a bad idea. A little less suspicious haha
@@offcamping True, didn't think of it that way, would be more pleasant to look at too probably. In terms of stealth I was more worried that your camo had like deep dark jungle colours rather than the light spring colours leaves have in UK right now.. :p I think I remember our TA clothes to be brighter green camo than that for sure.
