A bit of a departure from the comics. Barbara Gordon was still Oracle during Hush, and it was Huntress who came to his rescue after Barbara sent out a distress call. Funny thing is, when Huntress answered the call, Barbara was like, “Uhhh, is there anyone else nearby?" 😂😂😂
They just had to use Batgirl since she was teased in a previous movie

But Huntress is my 2nd favorite after Barbara, and I was hoping to see her because many of the characters the producers chose to use have already been seen multiple times, in other films. It would've been refreshing to see Huntress, for a change.

Cyrene2000 Honestly I feel like they just do this every single time they start to lose the fandom. The Comics weren’t well at all, so we got New 52, and then they plummeted so we got Rebirth. And each time they add extremely unnecessary details to a character’s background, such as Superman having a history in the army. It’s just tiresome at this point and I would have liked for this Animated Universe to continue. They set up a lot of great characters in this movie, and all the more recent ones like Lady Shiva who they completely wasted in Apokolips War. Batgirl, Bane, Catwoman, Poison Ivy, Superboy, Wonder Girl, the list goes on. I liked that movie a lot because it showed the realistic portrayal and the consequences of war but the ending just really frustrated me. There could have been a more decent way to bring everyone back without having to reset the timeline.

Or hell a simple time travel plot not unlike Endgames coulda worked too, but then there would have been too much comparison.

This is like, literally the only real screentime Batgirl has ever gotten in DCAMU - right before getting brutally torn to pieces by Paradooms in Apokolips War. Hopefully, she gets some proper spotlight in the rebooted timeline. :P

After watching the newest justice league dark apocalypse film, I can’t watch previous movies the same. The way those parademons ripped batgirl apart causing her arm to fly out was insane.

I kind of find it interesting how the killing joke plays no part in this universe. joker doesn't cripple her in this movie and even in apokalypse war you see her fighting against paradooms. And although it was a big thing that happened in the Batman universe let alone, it's kind of a little notion that just because it happened in one universe doesn't mean it has to happen every universe.
