I am completing my associates degree in Cybersecurity (CIS) I want to go for a BA but I don’t know if that’s the path I should go if I am interested in getting to digital forensics? One of my classes was Computer Forensics and it was by far the one I most enjoyed and connected with. Is there a specific program for a BA I should look for?

Now I'm interested in computer forensics! I'm planning a career change now. But I have to know: If someone has a degree in Computer Security and now wants to cross over to Computer Forensics, does he have to go through 2 more years of schooling, or is there a better way to cross over?

      R. Mei there may be certifications you qualify for without doing two full years

A lot of overlapping exists in the skills needed for both security and forensics . I don’t see a need to change your major .

What would you recommend for someone who has no tech background and wants to take your Computer and Mobile Forensics Training Boot Camp? My goal is to eventually become a Forensic Computer Analyst or something of the like. Thank you!

Check your community college for a Cybersecurity program that’s what I did. I use to have my own business in a different sector and self taught myself about computers and software. I was diagnosed with cancer at 31 and beat it. It cost me everything I had almost my house too. I had no idea what to do. I wanted to do something with computers and found out about the pell grant and student loans. Now I’m about to graduate with my associates in cyber security and I have 4 certificates. I plan to get many more certifications. Being a student my professors were able to get us discounts on many certificate exams as well.

Yeah that was really weird. Most podcasts start off with asking the guest to introduce THEMSELVES. I wonder if she was thinking the same thing.
