I just mean the basic skills they’re supposed to learn in the course like causation, change and continuity over time, contextualization, etc. you can find those in the first section of the CED for all the history courses.

First off it wasn’t just for economic reasons, it was to maintain religious freedoms because they couldn’t go back to England and but wanted their children to still be English. They also saw it as a great way to evangelize the new world. So it has everything to do with their beliefs. You obviously are teaching your children wrong ideas because you are not a believer.
