I have both Nord piano 5 and P515, the acoustic piano of P515 is way more better with a richer bass compared to Nord and the key action of Yamaha 515 is surpassing Nord. If you mainly play piano p515 is the choice
I was so confused when i was trying different pianos in a store. Used more time with the p515 and a nord grand. But I liked surprisely more the p515 than the nord grand. 😮
I play a beast 1987 Yamaha grand 6’1’ C3 the action is heavy and you work - which I like - I went with the Yamaha P515 after trying everything and can tell you it’s the closest to a grand action of all by far - P515 is killing if paino is your objective with heavy action NOT light
Hi! All two can be used on stage, but the CP88 is gig specific like a Stage Piano, while the P-515 is a Digital Piano (with better acoustic pianos, but with less gig features). The CP 88 also has an internal AC adapter, real-time effects (no submenus), metal on the back, foot controller [1] / [2], Aux IN [L / MONO] / [R] (6.3 mm) , physical controls of Pitch bend and Modulation, and Live Set. It's the same thing: "Could you tell me what is the main differentiating factor that makes Genos much more expensive than Montage?" I hope I helped you, my friend! Cheers
Correction on what the video tells you: - CP88 has keybed NW-GH - P515 has keybed NWX NWX is a step up from NW-GH NWX has escapement... “The NWX keyboard also features an escapement mechanism that reproduces the feel of an acoustic piano as it goes through the let-off and drop of the hammer when a key is played very softly. The action has been designed in such a way that the escapement is discernible only on the lightest keystrokes, similar to the keyboard of a grand piano.” The new CP88 has NW-GH and the same triple sensors as in the CP4 STAGE, but the CP88 has textured keys (“Synthetic Ebony and Ivory Key Tops are lightly porous which adds grip to the keys.“)
Thanks for watching the video and the comment! I've already made a correction to the video description. As soon as it was posted I realized that I had not reported the "escapament".
I’m in the understanding, correct me if I have been misinformed online: the P515 🎹digital piano keybed action is heavier more resistant to play than the fast less resistant keybed action of the CP88 🎹stage piano.
Do you have any thoughts on the action of the P515? I heard complaints that it's not like an acoustic because you can barefly feel the escapement. You also need a lot more force to depress the keys. Thanks!
Greg, I like the P515's action. They remind me of the action of the RD2000 and in both DP the black keys are slightly lighter than the white keys. Yes ... If you leave the factory setting you need to apply a little more force on the keys. But it is possible to adjust in the Global and individual mode by voice. In my case, I left Global Touch in Medium as it comes from the factory and adjusted it within each voice according to my taste. And ... Problem solved! Who knows if in the firmware update Yamaha does not solve this 'problem' ... What is so easy to solve, adjusting. If you are familiar with piano VSTi, you will know how to edit the P515 and this will not be a problem. God bless you in Jesus Christ!
Hi mate, I agree with you, the "let-off" or escapement is almost inexistent and the high static key weight makes the keybed very hard to control with nuance and expression. IMHO, the Kawai and Roland plastic key actions, are more confortable in these regards.
ARE THE YAMAHA P515 ACOUSTIC PIANO SOUNDS GREAT LIKE THE YAMAHA CP88? WHICH ONE OF BOTH KEYBOARDS HAS A BETTER QUALITY IN THE ACOUSTIC PIANO SOUNDS? I'M ASKING BECAUSE LAST SATURDAY I ORDERED THE CP88 AND I'M THINKING TO SALE MY MODX8 TO BUY THE P515 AS WELL.. I LIKE THE RYTHMS THAT COME WITH THIS GREAT KEYBOARD. I WILL APPRECIATE YOUR ANSWER🙏.
Yes, the Yamaha CP88 and P-515 share some pianos: for example the CFX Grand on the P-515 in default and SoundBoost On on the type 3 will sound the same as the CFX on the CP88. Without SoundBoost the P-515 sounds warmer, more like a real CFX piano and without 'mixing'.
But with the CP88 OS 1.5 update, the CP88 has more models of the iconic Yamaha grand pianos, and I have read also that the CP88 has a popular with performance piano players a lighter-faster keybed piano action with easy top control surface editing and layering of 3 x instruments - including with the deep edit feature, layering two Yamaha grand pianos of choice with a layered strings or pad, etcetera. 🎹🎶
:D Por que eu não sou um revendedor de teclados. Logo, não tenho tantos teclados como uma loja tem. Que bom que eu deixei as legendas e logos do vídeo original que comparei o CP88 e o Nord, e não deixei entender que era meu...

Everything I needed to know in the first 90 seconds. Perfect...thank you!!!
Hi! Could you please tell me what is the main differentiating factor that makes CP88 much more expensive than P515?

@@MUSICinBRAZIL Thank you!
Wish you included more of the Nord comparing it with the P515.
In the future it may be...
515 has an option for the smart pianist app, 88 does not, for the newbie who wants to learn, its a big help...
For all levels of musicians! You can also make detailed edits to the P-515 using the Smart Pianist app.

@@MUSICinBRAZIL Hi mate, which key action is better for you between P515 abd RD2000?.
Better tone.
Nord or p-515?
Thanks for watching the video! P-515 by tone and price.
The bosendorfer on p 515 sound difference on cp 88 just u listen
It is a superb sample, the best I’ve ever played on a digital instrument

Very informative thank you
Pô, mas aí são vídeos feitos e gravados de forma diferente
Why are you using other people's videos rather than doing your own comparison? I've just watched the original CP88 and Nord video before yours.
