Basildon is a very good town, it has a road system which must be the envy of surrounding towns, it has good and varied residential areas both privately owned and Council homes. Basildon speaks for itself with a huge sign by the slip road from the A127 to the town centre. Basildon boasts a first class town centre shopping centre plus The Eastgate Centre. There are plenty of car parking facilities. And it has extensive out of town shopping centres like the Mayflower Retail Park, Pipps Hill shopping plus Billericay and Wickford as satellites. The Bus Station is served by National Express as well as local services. We have a very good, modern railway that makes Southend or London quickly accessible. We have our own theatre. Restaurants abound with all variety of tastes. On the outskirts we have the industrial areas. So, summing up, Basildon is a brilliant town to live, we have shops galore with all the big names eager to serve you; restaurants to feed you, houses to buy or rent, the only ever traffic jams are at rush hour. Don't knock it, think positive, BASILDON IS A GOOD TOWN.
Yes, I do agree, William. What we need to see here are positive posts praising our communities and the benefits of both living and working in Basildon. Let us not sell Basildon short because it is in our interests, and that of the younger generations to promote Basildon as the town of the future.
people feeling powerless. so vote for brexit to give them back the feeling of worth. all the while they will be the ones who suffer from it. Turkeys voting for Christmas.
