FIRST SINGER FROM KAZAKHSTAN, BECOME LEGEND AND WORLD STAR
- Dimash Kudaibergen was born in Aktobe, Kazakhstan, on May 24, 1994. It is now 192 cm tall.
- Dimash has an excellent education: he graduated from the College of Music with a degree in Opera Singing, university of arts in the specialty "Estrada and jazz vocals", and on June 18, 2020, he completed a master's degree in Composition. Since September 1, 2020, Dimash is studying at the Kazakh National University of Arts in doctoral studies (PHD) with a degree in Musicology.
- Sings in genres: pop, rock, classics, crossover (neo-classics), folklore, rap, jazz.
- Singer, composer (wrote music for 11 songs), multi-instrumentalist (dombra, piano, percussion, guitar).
- Has a range of six octaves and one note.
- Notes - A1 (Love Like a Dream), from C2 to D8 (Unforgettable Day) - from baritone to soprano.
- The first performance as a singer is 2010.
- He participated in many competitions both in Kazakhstan and abroad, where he took only the first places.

- January 21, 2017 - First performance of SOS at the Singer 2017 Sequer competition. The next day - January 22, 2017, Dimash woke up famous in China. As a result of the competition he took the 2nd place.

Of course, there are 2 stories about why Dimash left The World's Greatest. His story is that the program was asked in advance if he would be competing with kids, and was told no, not to worry. They say this never happened. So... as they approach the end, he's competing with kids. In his culture, this is disgraceful. Adults don't compete with kids, they nurture, help and support them. So - he walked away. Dimash is well known for his financial generosity, donating funds to various causes - and supporting kids. So regardless, his actions were consistent with his ethics.
He is singing here on the 2nd episode of a 13 episode Chinese competition for established professionals - most of them MUCH older than he was (only 22 here). His first performance for the show - SOS - he was an unknown, a wild card brought in who had never performed in China. He went first.... and the clip of SOS went viral overnight, and he woke up the next morning a major pop star in China. You will enjoy it...
One more thing - if you want to attract Dimash fans, (called "Dears") don't use the World's Greatest version. Many Dears actively boycott it.

Yes he didn't want to compare against children, one of them was from Kazakhstan and they know each other. So he quit, and one of the judges was rude to Dimash, as they saw the gold goose go away. He didn't care of the million 💲 price. Btw. the show didn't exist anymore. Most of the Dears (including me) don't watch this show.

He quit The Worlds Best show because he did not want compete against the children.
Plus, the shows producers did not respect him, plus he was a bit sick when he sang so it wasn't his best.
Also avoid reacting to any videos where it looks like he was on AGT, or The Voice, or X-Factor. Those are fakes, he was never on those shows.
American The Worlds Best show is too insignificant an event for Dimash.
He did them a favor, and they started shoving American exceptionalism at him. And were politely sent into oblivion

I enjoyed your reactions, but you have just scratched the surface of understanding Dimash's capabilities. Dimash is the son of professional singers and, thus, was learning to sing while in his mother's womb. Indeed, a reviewer from India made a very insightful comment that he sounds like music is his first language, and I think that could very well be true. He then began singing lessons at age 5 and has now begun his Ph.D in music. His range is 6 octaves, and he an innovator who sings in many different voices, colors, and styles. Every song is different. He plays several instruments and has sung in 12 different languages. A lot of people recommend starting with songs he performed in a Chinese competition among professionals, which is when he first went viral in 2017. As the only non-Chinese singer, he was not allowed to win, but his first album went platinum there literally in just a few minutes. Still he is much more successful in Asia than in America, but he hopes to move to the USA soon to improve his English and truly achieve the worldwide acclaim that he deserves. @@jaydeeess8996 It is Khazak custom that the eldest child must be handed over to the grandparents till adulthood. His grandparent catered for all his artistic requirement. They were all professionals.Therefore he carried the name of his grandfather. His father carried the name of his grandfather. They have a suffix to their surname ending with letters uly meaning (son of) like the Arabs there equivalent is bin ( son of) Muhammed bin (son of) Abdullah bin (son of) Abd.Mutalib . Their daughters, bint (daughter of) even after marriage they keep their parents name they don't switch to their husbands. In this way their ancestry is intact.
I agree! He SHOULD be a household name! He likes his independence as an artist, so has not signed any record deals because then they TELL the artist what to sing, when to sing, etc. He sings different genres, sometimes in the same song!!

He quit Worlds Best because they did not keep to their promise that he would not be competing against children. He doesn’t feel it’s fair to the children. He could’ve won the million dollar prize no problem. It just goes to show you what kind of person Dimash is. Phenomenal talent and human being. He has no peer.

By the way, about the World’s Best: the producers lied to him when they invited him, saying no children would compete, because Dimash loves children and mentors and nurtures them. They would not allow any competitor to see any other competitors during the taping of the show. It was when he arrived Ed for the taping of the semifinals that he saw the other two semi finalists in solo music: two children! A little girl from Kazakhstan whom he knew and who looked up to him as a mentor, and the little boy from India that you mentioned. He made the difficult decision to withdraw from the competition to give the children a chance to win. That’s a million dollars he gave up, for he refused to act against his principles. That could have been his entry into the American market, but he would not do that if it meant stepping on little children.
Well, Dimash is just that: a kind, generous, respectful, wise, honest, modest and professional human being with integrity, who happens to be the greatest singer that ever lived, plays several instruments, dances, acts, and also looks really handsome!
