28:51 I feel like this is the moment Alex lost. You don't use buster proactively you use it like a gun you're holding to the opponents head and wait for them to flinch
@@milesgreenwood5036I honestly do not think that matters at all. 90% of the audience for that series specifically is from long time fans of Progression series in general, it's a bit tough for new people to pop in out of nowhere and enjoy the series with as much constance so far in. They would have no clue about what the redo tickets do and how many he has or whatever. If anything his only content farming right now is "what does this magic player think of this 8 y.o. card from Yu Gi Oh"
As good as alex's deck is, having 1 B really hurts the deck. Also striker and abc have anti-synergy, because ABC leaves a lot on the field to shut off your striker spells(look at how long that engage was left waiting). According to my brother who is the local ABC expert, his comment on cimo's deck is "oh god why is he playing 3 A, it is the worst one", because while its effect is nice, you're really concerned about the resource loop, and A(adds from grave) is the worst one due to "it doesnt add new cards into play" and "there are times you dont want its effect because you need them in grave for ABC" The protection effect of the ABCs have never come up in games we have played, even though I use a very wide range of decks(from UA to trains to Generaider to traptrix to runick). Maybe its something he should utilize more, but a lot of the time the oppurtunity cost of not sending your union to the grave for the effect makes up for the extra work your opponent needs to do to get around the protection. So equipping is something you do if you are stuck with a vulnerable ABC piece on board(which I dont think Altergeist threathens them in any meaningful way) According to my brother there's a good likelihood you cut A to 2 due to ratios and play a board breaker or an extender of some sort, but he isnt sure(he prefers to play 3/3/3, in the past he has tried 2/2/2). He also plays 2 ABC to make room in the extra deck, but I disagree with him on that front. All that being said, amazing episode and great plays from both players. I feel like there had to be a way around that asshole bouncing the traps to protect them, but its hard to pin down guys that keep leaving the field(Abc dragon has traumatized me)
They have done an amazing job with this series. Like its taking me away from watching a show on mondays. And look forward to what is basically post match commentary with progrussy. 😂 Like koonami sponser these types if things. Edit: what the game actually means for community friends just being goofy playing a child's card game ❤
36:10 why doesnt A-Assault Core trigger? It was sent from the field to grave, it doesnt matter how it was sent? Does it enter a limbo state where it technically isnt "on field" when its being equipped, kinda like how solemn judgement prevents a card from entering the field as it strikes them during their limbo phase?
@@carpedm9846 That isn't the same as sent by game mechanic. There are particular scenarios where cards are sent by game mechanics and thus don't cause trigger but is very niche and I would struggle to think up of one example.
This is the first box I bought after getting back into the game wanting to get the demise stuff. Ended up getting the full deck and it was absolutely awful
Cimo using his redoer tickets the same way Eberflous uses his timeouts
The audience crossover between people who play yugioh and people who watch football enough to get this reference has to be so small
Is cimo getting fired though
@@natekurt Well I do both, and it still wasn't funny to me. Cool analogy though.
This is an elite comment 😂
Love it
This episode really was a "progression" for the season:
Gage got another copy of Altergiest Manifest & Cimo got Kagari for his Sky Striker engine.
What I find amazing is that Cimo and Gage had 2 different pronunciations of Silquitous and both of them are wrong.
"it's obviously pronounced altergeist silky toes" - mbt probably

i miss "welcome to the yu-gi-oh progression series: season 2. chika-cha"
Neither of them played optimally, but still gotta say this was one of the better episodes.

how many respin tickets does Cimo have? Why does he feel like he needs to horde them?
But then the prog playmat wouldn't make sense 😆
"what if I pull even worse?"
its too late to be asking a question like this tbh
Comment farming I'd assume

The woke alphabet mafia vs the trad altergeists
Trap Altergeists would've been more appropriate for both jokes.
Its so sad altergeist is not a trap deck really anymore. Like what a missed opportunity to make it a viable trap deck like lab.

Maybe is one of those situations where the card dies because of "game mechanics" and that overules the effect as it doesn't count as "sent to gy".
@GRtogetaBIC it does trigger if it equips and the equipped card is linked off, so that cant be it
No target
Sent by Game Mechanic means it doesn’t trigger sent to GY effects

subs are read from 1:26 - 2:40 you return to the start of the snatching, also rip to the playmat ad it might???? be missed

Ah Demise... Built like an OTK, but in reality is at best a four turn clock.
Best prog episode so far
What automater are they playing on?
SPOILER ALERT
The fact that Gage didn't need Multifaker to beat Sky Striker ABC is telling of how good the Altergeist deck is.
Well cimoo was playing like an ape
It's telling of how bad cimo is *
I came seeing Cimos list
Just one multifaker would turn this into tier 0
My hardest decision, watch the actual prog episode or watch mbt watch the prog episode
It’s been a bad time to be a cimoooo Stan 😔
L + ratio + Age of Gage
Lmao!!
now manga is not racist, it is xenophobic tough... in the most literal sense
Guys look! I'm on the funny streamer man's stream!
this could've been a good episode but then gage won. tragic
At least it was two decks we haven't seen them play 7 times.
Gage is wayyyy too try hard and gets outside help. He has ruined the series in my eyes, its so boring now
It's been boring since Cimo almost killed the series by playing Blackwing for half a year
I have to disagree, blackwing was far worse, and the mousolium of the emperor deck made by IWishtcg was the most pog thing ever
why are you here
Worst take ever, go watch S1 then and see how good it was
@@danielecogotti8394Up until half of the blackwing saga it was actually pretty damn good, even if it was mostly gage losing it was still pretty fun
