Happy Thursday!!! I hope you enjoy this video of ways clothing can look cheap :) I got all this inspiration from things in my own closet 😜 let me know if you’d like to see more videos like these!! This was really fun to make. ☺️

    1. Droopy button - sew
    2. Pilling - fabric shaver
    3. Tumbled faux fur - brush it
    4. Lint - lint roll
    5. Shoe laces on sneakers - hide the lace ends
    6. Bulky jewelry - less is more
Read and follow the instructions on the care tag and take care of your clothing like you paid a lot of money for it.
Great video Elana. These are great tips and I’ll definitely be looking into getting a fabric shaver asap.

lint roller presents a problem by making textile stickier and attractive for yet more lint

Your final tip was the best one. So many people think since they paid little for it, it is considered cheap and disposable. I have clothing from thrift stores, less expensive stores and high end department stores purchased on clearance. The way you take care of your clothes is everything. I have many items I've had for years because of how I take care of them. My fave is a classic $8 Calvin Klein blazer I purchased from Goodwill. It is my go to when I need to dress up an outfit!

Hi Elana. Great tips. What I now use instead of a lint roller is a strip of heavy duty tape, such as packing tape. It seems to remove lint better. Also I noticed that you are hanging your black wool coat on a wire hanger. This will ruin your coat and make it lose it's shape. Then you will make a part 2 to this video saying not to use wire hangers, ha ha!! Great video.

Really appreciate the "hiding the shoelaces" tip for making tennis shoes look chic.😉

I ignore garment-care tags and rely on my extensive experience instead, most garments are low-labeled to an extreme (I just got a cotton t-shirt that said “dry-cleaning recommended”what nonsense, I machine washed and dried it). They do this so that they can refuse returns, it’s the only reason! I machine wash all my sweaters, including my best cashmere, on gentle with a regular final spin (or they’re too soggy) and dry them flat. I rarely put any clothing in the dryer, I hang (or lay flat) everything in my laundry room, with a fan going. Never machine-dry anything with Spandex/elastane in it, heat breaks it down fast, or sweaters - even if they can be tumble-dried, it makes them bobble like crazy).

Love this. I’ve been spared me to go through my closet and now I have a list of things to do! Thank you. 0:50

Use the de-bobbler on the black wool coat, a lint roller isn’t effective for that type of “lint”, it’s really wool-fiber bobbles, caught up with lint.

Thanks! Liked all of your tips! I definitely agree with you on the jewelry. I used to wear "bigger" jewelry, but I am realizing that as a petite especially, daintier jewelry looks much nicer on me! I hadn't thought of hiding shoelaces for a more chic look :)

I agree with all.. I like a bold necklace sometimes depending on the look that you want, but my everyday jewelry is dainty.

Wouldn't jewelry depend on whether it's real or costume? I can't imagine that a large, bold necklace or cuff bracelet of genuine 14k or 18k gold is going to look cheap.

I agree, delicate gold-plated jewelry is in style because the price of gold shot up to an all-time high. Bold precious-material jewelry isn’t out of style, but bold, plasticky costume jewelry always is.

You’re just following the trend of more delicate jewelry, bold jewelry is already coming back.

Another great video loved it ^^ also can you tell me what was your weight when you were not pregnant? ❤️❤️ And also you ever faced that problem as petite that you look like a child or teenager? What you did then? I am 20 years old and 4'11, but people tell me I look like 12 years old, please gimme some tips to look according to my age ^-^

Don’t wear girlish clothing like mini skirts, denim cut-offs, crop tops, tiered flouncy dresses and ruffles, wear adult classics like skirts/trousers, tees, shirts/blouses, simple dresses and blazers. Wear 2-3” heels, comfy block ones, always.

@@kimberlyperrotis8962 thank youuuu but can you also suggest me how to look mature by face cuz I have baby features, so everyone mistakes me for a 12 year old
