He wasn’t a villain to me, the mystic falls gang became the villains when they tried to kill him countless times even after they found out how he was brought up. Especially when they brought back mikael! Poor klaus didn’t deserve all that trauma… he tried proving himself to his father by becoming the villain but what he didn’t realise was that he was becoming his father
I love Klaus, but they brought Mikael back to kill him BECAUSE of HIS actions and him terrorizing them. It's like saying we should let pedophiles, rapists, ect... go or not hold them accountable if they had bad upbringing or if they were raped as kids. It EXPLAINS why they are the way they are(like with Klaus) but it does NOT EXCUSE his actions.
