Great demo! I think the 'Reverb' is meant to be more like an 'IR reverb'. It's not a replacement for a reverb pedal, but just something to give it the psychoacoustoc impression of being 'in the room' that a lot of earlier digital products missed.
Sounds amazing! I just bought one and hope to have as good results. I'm done with pure digital (Fractal, Line 6, Kemper). I hope hybrid does the trick.
I picked up a D20 last summer and it works great for recording and earphone practice. Now I may be gigging again and thinking about getting a cabinet. Ideas? I'm sort of jonesing for a Barefaced 10". You tried those yet?
You can go that route, but torpedo captor x costs $599 (torpedo software, load box, ir loader)… the Revv D20 is a full tube amp that comes imbedded with all this with stuff for $1100 (most tube amp head cost this amount without anything else)… if you have a bunch of tube amps then the torpedo by itself is probably a better option
Great demo! Were you using the cabs that it ships with or others you bought? Also did you have your delay and reverb in front of the amp, effects loop or were you getting it from your DAW? Thanks!!
Stevie Knighten Hi Stevie. The majority of the vid I was using reverb from the Universal Audio Apollo. Then I switched it off and used the two notes verb while I was looking at the Two Notes software.
Great video! Do you think that this amp(recorded with torpedo out) sounds better than Kemper for cleans? Can't decide between this one vs a Kemper for home studio.
I'm not sure whether to go with one of these or a Strymon Iridium for mainly studio work, with the occasional gig or jam. This seems more flexible, as you can plug it into a camp without a separate power amp, plus the Two Notes is way more flexible than the IRs in the Strymon.
Great tones, love my d20!
Lovely playing. I’ve got one on order and can’t wait to get it!
Nice one. Enjoy!
Wow, this sounds great!

Nice one Greg.
Great demo, which cab are you using there? Thanks and keep making these demos!

It's really not the same price range but do you think that replacing a Katana 100 by this one is interesting ?
Why not get the torpedo separately so you can use it with any amp?

@@TheStudioRats Dope! Thanks!
This or the Surh PT?

Thanks for the comment, I sold my kemper after buying the D20. It’s not as versatile but to me it sounds better.
Buy the amp!
Great video! What about the transformers? Do you know what transformers this amp use?
Sounds killer. This going to be the Kemper replacement for function gigs then?
Larry North Kemper is up for sale.
That's exactly what i done! Love my kemper, but now love hearing tubes on stage and great In ears tones for when under.

Hi David. It’s a great amp and highly versatile and as you say you can take it to a gig. I highly recommend it.
Do these have enough welly to play clean against a drummer? Or would you have to run the preamp boost?
Mike Aiton I’ll let you know after I’ve done a gig with it.
Nice amp. Is it loud enough to gig with in a full band?
Hi Steve, it stays in my studio I’m afraid. I’ll try to get it out for the next gig and let you know.
