Man, this is fantastic. You got the tone, the performance, AND added your own flourishes that weren't just "Eddie licks", but sounded like something he would have plausibly done on that track. Bravo!
Nice. Got the Marty Freidman pick from underneath thing going on at the end. I remember that song dropping.. I was like wow. Van Halen is back! Nope...
Nice work with the Trans Trem, btw! Used to love when Ed played his Steinberger with it back in the day.....good times! Still can't believe he's gone. Too soon, too soon. :-(
Yeah man! They are super pricey! I bought the trem itself off a friend of a friend. Still cost me like $1,700 just for the trem! I had the body made by Locke custom guitars, I gathered up all the hardware and found a Peavey USA neck on reverb for like $300… afterwards, a buddy of mine did the paint work and assembly then another friend who really knows his stuff on the trans trem set ups, did the set up for me. Oh! The pickups are also Peavey WG pickups.
Kind of messy but great potential. What I like is that he is original. He put himself into that piece of art. He didn’t pretend to be Eddie. Good job dude.
Not an easy song to play but you wore it out dude! Even a few embellishments along the way. Also I love the tone you're getting. I you have time to respond I'd love to know what effects you are using. I'm assuming a healthy bit of chorus and some flange but I'm not overly experienced with these things so I'm just guessing. Cheers! V
Marcus Bratton thanks man! The body was made by Locke custom guitars. Everything else I bought and pieces together. The steinberger trans trem was around 2K alone 😩... found a very early USA Peavey neck on Reverb as well as USA pickups.
Finally someone got it right with the right bridge... Great playing
Good cover. RIP Ed
Superbly done
Well done! Can't think of a more difficult song to play on a guitar.
There are plenty but without the transtrem it's not possible unless you can tune a guitar faster than lightning ⚡⚡
@@THES1NN3Rit’s hard alright
Excellent job Brad!!! Kick ass tone and chops!
This is really the essential VH song for all of Eddie's tricks! I think he used every single one here. Nice job!
Is that Michael Anthony doing the vocal harmonies in the chorus?
@@darensparks mine, Ed and dave
This is spectacular! One of the best and least known VH songs. Thank you Brad for keeping Ed's memory alive.... :-) RIP, Edward VH. You are missed.
Excellent. So awesome
I love the trans trem setup! Sounds SO much like the record!
What an awesome cover. I am mesmerized by the way the TransTrem works at 1:22...
great job! This was a great song that didn't get much play time on the radio. RIP Eddie!
Man, this is fantastic. You got the tone, the performance, AND added your own flourishes that weren't just "Eddie licks", but sounded like something he would have plausibly done on that track. Bravo!

Very nice work, Brad. It's tough to get all those little "Ed-isms" super spot on, but man, you're close!
Awesome thanks 🙏🏽 It’s a shame VH never played this song live 😢
Nice. Got the Marty Freidman pick from underneath thing going on at the end.

That’s fucking perfect. I love it. Thanks brother! I needed that.
Great Job Man! May I ask where you got the trans trem? I am looking to have this done as well. Hard to find trans trems without giving up a nut. lol

If you learned this solely by ear that's pretty damned impressive.
There's a lot going on in this tune..
Great song, great playing. I see you g2 down there.
Sure do! Very cool midi!
Kind of messy but great potential. What I like is that he is original. He put himself into that piece of art. He didn’t pretend to be Eddie. Good job dude.

RIP Eddie Van Halen
Cool guitar! Where did you have it made?
Marcus Bratton thanks man! The body was made by Locke custom guitars. Everything else I bought and pieces together. The steinberger trans trem was around 2K alone 😩... found a very early USA Peavey neck on Reverb as well as USA pickups.
I was sad when you listed that for sale. Please tell me you changed your mind lol
Fan fuking tastic!
Still using the Pasachorus on the H9?
Man… i would love to own that guitar… did you put that trem on?
Yes. Someone with a trans trem
About 40% accurate. And ease up on the distortion you’ve just got a wall of noise.
a bit too much detune
i think your good i could not do nothing close
MrNik175 thanks 🙏 🤘🤘
Damn
Great job but your tone it brutal
