Great video. From what I know, it's pretty difficult for the transformer to burn out. What causes the transformer to burn out?

One of the main reasons for a transformer to burnout is when people use to cook on the microwave for 30 minutes or more.

@@mr.fixit3604 Thanks. But we the most minutes used is probably 5mins.

Its usually a defect in the insulation on the copper windings of the transformer. What happens is the insulation on one winding breaks down, causes breakdown on insulation of neighboring winding, and both arc together causing a dead short in the windings, and leading to burn out. What usually causes this is not allowing good air flow around the microwave. Poor air flow leads to overheating of transformer which leads to insulation breakdown of windings.

@@seangriffon6502mine is burning all high power components are okay. Transformer winding resistance is okay. I don't anything else that could be the problem

Can always know a Trini from his accent. Im one too. You could still discharge the Cap before removing the leads. Where you get parts in TT? Oster version here. Will work on it soon.

You always need to discharge the capacitor when working around it so you wouldn't touch it by mistake. You can get the capacitor at your local appliance stores or online.
