Fascinating. At that speed the loco sounded just like my model traction engine does in real time!
I was thinking more like an old 'Mothers Pride' bread van?
Nifty side-step at Grosmont!
Brilliant! I'd been hoping that one day we might be able a cab ride of the whole line.
Great video. Can you explain how the train arrives in Grosmont on road 2 but departs off road 3?
The video was filmed over two separate days. The Whitby to Grosmont section was filmed on the last train of the day that terminated in Grosmont. The Grosmont to Pickering section was filmed the following day on an earlier service.
@@nymrfootage Thanks for the update. Makes sense now! 👍
You really need a tilting train. I almost fell off my chair.
Brilliant - but how did we move from the right track to the left track at Grosmont?
Fantastic iain which locos is it please
I think it was the K1 as it was March and that was probably the only loco available early in the season before it went off to Fort William
What engine was it that the camera was on?
I think its 76079 I could be wrong?
Sounds like a Ferguson tractor!
I played this back at 2 X speed - even better !!!
When a steam engine sounds like a Ford Transit van
Overdub with the sound of a Paxman Valenta........
High speed rail baby!!!
Cool :)
Mallard sounds like a tractor
Why do 5 people dislike this? if you don't like this sort of thing don't watch heritage rail videos :) Simps!
